Could someone give me their theory of exactly why all the Smiths disappeared after Neo was replicated into a Smith?

I read someone says that because Neo was part of the source and when he was transformed it allowed the Architech to delete the Smiths as he now had some linkage or something like that?

But surely the Smiths were linked to the Matrix anyway?

i never read any1 elses theorys but i had 2 theorys

1. Smith= Virus Neo=Anti-Virus Smith transformed neo into a smith since neo is the anti virus and smith virus and smith made the anti virus apart of him BOOM he pretty much killed himself.


2nd theory. he got tooken over by smith and then it showed the machine like over loading neo's body with energy/power/whatever and since his boddy is plugged into the matrix and hes now apart of smith the machine overloaded neo *which is now apart of smith* thus overloading smith!

my own personal theory on this was in the first film Neo destroyed smith thus freeing him entirely from the Matrix network he somehow escaped deletion after being shown his true purpose by Neo (they temporarily shared the same body in first matrix film).

because smith is free he must create a physical link to other people to move into them..unlike the agents who can move via the matrix network. When smith assimulated Neo..a physical link was created between Smith and the source...the source then easily destroyed smith.

you can see this where the big machine kind of gives neo's jacked in body a jolt

in the first matrix neo went into smith and killed him, somhow he came bak because of neos files copied onto him, this also works vice versa smith also has files on neo now, in reloaded neo fights a million smiths, smith is now no longer an agent, he is freed from the cpu mainframe in the machine world, he is not under there control, he is in fact human. this may surprise many of you but he is now human, in the first matrix he said to morpheus humans are a virus they spread and they mulitiply until every resource is concumed, well wat is smith doing he is doing just that, he is multiplying, consuming everyone, he is becomeing human, although he himself is not human with flesh and blood his way of thinking is that of a humans, there fore all programs not connected directly to the mainfraim are human u see this in the marrovingian he has many human charectoristics and the oracle loves candy, then that guy in revolutions he loves his doughter, he had her created without a purpose but he loves her anyway and he will do anything to protect her, after this we can be sure that machines are human. next smith and neo are one and the same as well, along with trinity, trinity is neos balance outside the matrix and smith inside, smith gets stronger just as neo does, they must both live for both of them to live it that makes sence to you, if one dies they both die, neo realizes this that if he is gone trinity is gone aswell there fore once he is dead smith also must die as well for balance to be restored, smith and neos bond is great so the further you see smith in the series the more u see he acts miniocle and evil, he gets more and more human emotions and feelings, its the smell if there is such a thing, and id like to clear this up although its irrelevent, the spoon given to neo in reloaded was not from the kid but from that little bald munk from the first matrix movie who said do not try and bend the spoon that is impossible, instead try and realize the truth, wat truth, there is no spoon. then you will see it is not the spoon that bends it is only yourself. well neway that was to remind neo that there is no spoon some thing that believe in the MwM that it is saying there is no spoon in real life but there is no MwM it was never stated it would make the whole movie series accomplish nothing and that gold coding he saw wasnt coding, it was the machines energy or life force karma watever you want to call it, it was the machines bio electricity that they have taken from the humans, there is no MwM for in the matrix the coding is green as well as the green glow to everything in the matrix, but in the real world there is no gold just regular colors, and next with that whole thing with the serephs weird coding, well that was the first program neo had seen that was not connected directly to the mainfraim, as you remember humans and agents read the same, they are connected to the mainfraim, but i assure you that if u saw everyone theyd all look the same, exept for humans uplugged they dont glow green like agents and plugged in humans, they just look plain green.

What happened is that they wrote themselves into a corner, and couldn't figure a decent way out. Or else they're nowhere near as smart as I thought. Maybe both.

I kinda like the idea that the Source was the one which killed the Smiths...

Possibly every time that Neo returns to the source, he is deconstructed and examined for information (which is his purpose.)... but by forging a link with the Smiths, who are EXTREMELY similar in nature to Neo, they got caught by that deconstruction process also?
