»Perceptual Awakening Resulting from the Matrix«

After reading some very interesting posts to this site, I would like to share this experience.

To me the Matrix Movie Trilogy reveals a strong message to anybody who really wants to read between the lines.

The majority of people living in today's society seem asleep like the humans in the Matrix. There are so many ways we are being deceived by the media, the food industry, chemical industry, the health care industry, the government. Most believe that anything said in advertisement must be true and that what we're told in the papers must be true, and that the government will protect us, and that any drug our doctor prescribes is safe, that chemicals we're exposed to won't hurt us. . . anyone who has seen the Matrix movies and thinks they're stupid or doesn't understand the underlying philosophy, is a prime example .

I am really concerned that people have become "dumed down" and don't care to think for themselves or don't know how. It seems like the only way people can find any sort of enlightenment is through fiction with a thread of reality.


As a grass-roots activist, I see this all the time. People are too busy to think about their rights and freedoms because they are too busy . . . And when you try to bring up this kind of stuff they bawk in disbelief and then think you're an odd ball.
