hello y'all! I am working on a small, 3d matrix game, wich is mainly based around the war from matrix revolutions. You will be able to choose both sides, and also sometimes jack into the matrix. I am creating it in 3d gamestudio, and i was wondering if there are any members of this forum who would like to help me with this game? It would be much appreciated. I will post some pictures soon.

You haven't used the imageshack service correct and your links do not work. After uploading an image to imageshack grab the link for forums and paste it here. Also delete whatever is before [img] and after [/img]

Hm, I see that the engine supports directx 9b/c shaders, the HLSL/Cg game creating languages, skyboxes and other hi end stuff. But the detail of your images is quite poor.. No antialiasing, etc..Maybe your not skilled enough? But anyway I'm really looking forward to see the completed game.

I liked the first image very much because it greatly resembles the dock. But as I said before the detail is quite poor, it's just like a directx 6/7 old game, no shader support, prescripted effects, etc.

I wish I could help you, but I don't know how to program games! I'm just a ######## gamer and know many things about engines etc.

Keep us informed and DON'T stop the project! Thumbup

PS I hope there is no copywrite problem with WB.

tnx, i know they still look like crap but these are just the shapes with crappy textures, theyll look a lot better when finished. About the copyright, cant you make a "fan game" as long as you dont use actual footage etc. of the movies?

I don't know! But unless your game becomes a biiiig success I don't think that they will do anything.

Do you know how to use all these effects that the 3d gamestudio engine offers you?

Lets hope so. I know the very basics of 3dgs, not by far all of the effects it offers. But im also working on this game all by myself, so i have to choose between gameplay and graphics. And i choose gameplay lol.

Ofcourse gameplay is the most important thing, but you haven't tell us anything! Will it be a shooter? Can we use the APUs? Can we use Sentinels? If we jack into the Matrix will there be some kind of bullet time? (I see that the 3d engine you are using supports that kind of effect).

lol ok, you got a point there Whitelaugh The game will be based around 3 groups: the Humans the Machines and the Programs. You will be able to choose one of these to play, with their own purpose and their own "special powers", like agents being able to dodge bullets etc. It is an rpg, so you will be able to get stronger, get more powers, more awareness etc. You can walk around freely, and take missions when you want, so a bit gta style gameplay. There will be 3 playable areas: Zion, 01 and the matrix.

lol im glad you are so enthousiastic, but its a lot of work. Im working on this alone, and 3 months ago my computer died, so there is very little left of it. I will finish it asap, but im also in my final year at school so very busy. But no worries, it will come.
