No, the story of The One that was supposed to come along and destroy the Matrix and free humanity was a fabrication of the machines. Neo was supposed to do what the other 5 Ones did, reload the Matrix, only the Oracle decided to mix some love into the game, and so changed the outcome this time around. I guess you could say she set this version of The One on a new path.

Of course we thought that The One was meant to destroy the Matrix and free humanity, until Reloaded came out and made the whole thing far more interesting.

All points that I can understand.

But what you dont seem to understand is that you are overlooking the movie with the answers.
M1 states things, M2 and m2 keep you quessing.

If you hadnt overlooked the first movie in the first place you wouldnt be stuck on the matrix..

Ok take this as an example..

Why do people watch tv?

The answer to that is for entertainment purposes. You might also watch it to get imformation..

Now being that the matrix is refered to be the tv in m1.
These are the purposes that the machines use on humans..

Entertainment in a bad way.
And info on people..

Now can you tell me that the machines always had a good purpose?
Now can you tell me that the trilogy is in fact the same movie?

Its pretty far from the good machines which are doing man a favour in m2 and m3.

The machines werent made to look bad in m1.. they were bad

I haven't overlooked anything, you are the one that is stuck on M1, refusing to accept the fact the story took a different direction with Reloaded, the story of The One that was supposed to free humanity and destroy the Matrix was all a fabrication of the machines, The Ones purpose all along was to reach the source for the reload, but this time the Oracle changed everything by introducing love.

Man created AI, and then treated the machines like crap, the machines wanted their own civilisation and to live in peace with man, but man still behaved like crap, and instead of torturing the hell out humanity after winning the war the machines went out of their way to create a paradise for the defeated humans, how very evil of them.

The "One's" purpose never changed. It remained what it was. It was Neo who took a different route.

Now, Tsukasa and FirstOne, if you think that all the info was contained in M1, why don't you ask yourself "how did the prophecy about a man born in the matrix and whether Neo might be him never get fulfilled in M1 and Neo never came into knowledge that he was that man? And how does 'the One' that Neo is constantly told he is, fit into the prophecy?"

M1 doesn't answer that and that is a pivotal theme of The Matrix, isn't it?

Knowledge above all else is the biggest weapon you can have.

Those 3 verses that you wrote can relate to the first movie.

death to immortality...Neo finally dies and becomes one with trinity.It explains the O in neos name{forever}

Notice how these verses are a trinity of verses.

But remember that in M2 the trinity doesnt exist..
Neo is told that he is not the only one. Which means that the ONE name and the trinity are just pretend.

But that is a lie. And so is m2 and m3.

M2 and M3 are flat compared to m1. They are no comparison to the first movie..

Ok and why do you believe that the 2 movies were made? For the money? For cover up as Tsukasa thinks? Something else?

From delusion lead me to truth - Neo learns the truth of the world around him.

From darkness lead me to light - Neo is in the dark of what he is supposed to do and then walks through the door of light and finds out what The One was about all along.

From death lead me to immortality - Neo sacrifices himself for the good of man and machine and is enlightened, but I'm not so sure about the immortal stuff, maybe his soul or whatever reached another spiritual realm or something.
