OK, I am a huge Matrix fan, but there's always one thing I've been unable to understand the 200+ times I've seen it since 1999.

When the helicopter is crashing because of the fuel leak, and Neo winds the cable around his arm, gets dragged accross and Trinity grabs it, shoots it off, then swings into the building, everyone's like: "See? He IS The One!"

Why? What about that made him The One? Obviously it's a brave/difficult thing to do, but it's not physically impossible. If I was stronger and more balanced I could do it.

What am I missing?

Look at the scene again and note how fast the helicopter propeller blades are portrayed and compare that to how fast Neo swings his arms around. I don't think you can top that.

Aaah... Just watched it again, yeah. And they do the bullet time "wwoosh" as well. And Morpheus does the slash face after the arm whirl.

Am I the only one that thought it wasn't that obvious?

No. A lot of people missed that one, there are at least 2 threads that I know of that address it. But it is something once you discover it isn't it?
