Okay, first off, loved the third movie. Thought it was great and I am certainly a bit confused. I don't understand the leverage Neo holds against the machines in striking a deal. Can he realistically eliminate Mr. Smith and trust the machines in not destroying Zion? This kind of blows my mind. What reason do the machines have in not ending the revolt? Wouldn't this make life for them easier? Couldn't they concentrate on further perfection of the matrix without actual human interference?

the machines do not poses human charateristics such as lying so if neo completes his task they are not capable of decieving him or something along those lines
