Interview with Jada (Niobe)
Q: Will we find out more about your relationship with Morpheus in the last movie?
Jada: Yeah, you find out in the last movie and you also find out in the video game.
Q: What were the differences between Matrix 2 and 3?
Jada: I think the take on it is basically just once again focusing on choices. The choices that we make. And, I also feel as though what was great about this movie is Keanu’s character and how we were able to bring this kind of feminine element. Feminine in the way of just that nurturing aspect that we rarely see in movies with male characters like Keanu, considering that he is supposed to be the one, considering that he’s supposed to be a superhero in the sense of being a super macho guy. I felt like they made a real human being out of this particular type of character, in the sense of what real men are about. I found that extremely interesting which was something we didn’t really get to see I thought in the first one.
Q: What do you do in the third film?
Jada: I think it’s more of just story. I think in this one, you don’t get to really see my storyline except for the tension going on between Lock and Morpheus and myself. I think you just in the third one get to see my journey story-wise. There’s no like incredible action or anything like that per se. It’s just more of a story of you get to see a human side. In this one, she’s just a hardass, period, that’s what I’m doing. In the next one, you get to see more of the human side.
