[Matrix Revolutions]
Bane/Smith: "I admit, it is difficult to think, encased in this rotting piece of meat. The stink of it filling every breath, a suffocating cloud you can't escape. [spits blood] Disgusting! Look at how pathetically fragile it is. Nothing this weak is meant to survive."

I think that the reason people say the first one was better is because the first one was about the one nad focused on neo aside form the war and the matrix. Reloaded how ever was involved stories like Links and that Zion gathering. I think that they were too long or they focused on them too much. Revolututions was good in my opinion. It had its flawsas explained in matrix-explained, but not enough to say that it sucked.I guess it sort of ruiend the squeal to it for some people. Maybe if Reloaded focused more on The One, the War, and a lot The Matrix then it would have been better. But besides that, the movie was kicked ass.

I think it was more the fact that the Wachowskis scripted questions to which they didn't really provide real, satisfactory answers, they just answered questions with another question... They set the bar really high in terms of visual FX, and they kept on bringing out excellent special FX throughout all three films, but the problem is their films became too formulaic. In the first film, they posed some really fantastical philosophical, meaning-of-life style questions (hell, they got me thinking), but Matrix 2 was more sort of filler between 1 and 3, and 3 didn't really answer those questions, it become more of a fightfest with unanswered questions and missed opportunities for further character development.

Matrix 1 was obviously a labour of love for them, and then the other two films were made at the expense of not being quite so deep, perhaps.

The first film was the best for me. It posed questions gave answers and finished with a Big satisfying bang!

In the sequels, everytime they are in the matrix they are seperated and never together. Its always NEO by himself asking the oracle stupid questions which are NEVER answered

There are no more group missions no gangs, no normal people trapped in the matrix, no fields, no sense of real danger. I mean Honestly, Neo and Morpheus didnt even fight side by side or hang out inside the matrix. They had no action together, and thats pathetic!

And how in hell did Morpheus and Trinity fight agents and last as long as they did? especially these stronger faster upgrades?

Because they believed in the Prophecy (Morpheus) and in love (Trinity). And if you are so close to what they think is the end of the war, your mind makes you more powerfull. Just believe it! Believing and having faith gives great strength.

The first film in a series always has an advantage. It introduces THE IDEA the fundamental basis for the story. With any films that follow the viewers already know the BIG idea so the producers have to find something else to maintain the excitement.

The Matrix was unusual because it is the first film I know of to use a visualizable cyberspace and took it farther than any sci-fi book I have read. Most books just have hackers and power users going in and out at will. I don't know of any other story with the entire human race in cyberspace and not knowing it. It was fantastic. I have talked to people in the past year who still don't get it.

Most of the people I talk to seem to hate Reloaded and Revolutions, I don't know why though. Maybe people had come up with their own little ideas as to what was going to happen and then it turned out completely different. Personally I love the trilogy, I think it's absolutely brilliant.

Special envoy Kofi Annan said Friday he was disappointed by President Bashar al-Assad's response to ideas for ending the bloodshed in Syria, and appealed to the UN to unite in its bid to halt the conflict.

A handout picture released by nike-air-jordan.org... the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA ) shows Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (right) meeting with UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan in Damascus on March 10. Annan said he was disappointed by Assad's response to ideas for ending the bloodshed in Syria, and appealed to the UN to unite in its bid to halt the conflict.

"The stronger and more unified your message nike-air-max-pascher.org..., the better chance we have of shifting the dynamics of the conflict," Annan was quoted as telling the 15-nation UN Security Council.

He also nike-air-max-pascher.net... told the council he was sending a mission to Damascus next week to discuss putting monitors in place even though he has had a "disappointing response" so far to his proposals from Assad, diplomats said.

The United Nations says some 8,000 people have died since opposition protests flared last March, but dissent monitors say the toll is closer to 9,100 lives nike-air-max90.net....

Speaking by video conference from Geneva, Annan briefed a closed-door meeting of the council about his talks with Assad in Damascus last weekend.

The former UN secretary general said his "six point proposals" to Assad remain on the table, but that he had "no illusions" over the scale of his mission as the uprising enters its second year.
Annan's spokesman, Ahmad Fawzi, speaking in Geneva, confirmed the plans for a mission to the Syrian capital air-max-soldes.net....

"Mr Annan has decided to send a mission to Damascus to discuss modalities of a monitoring mechanism and practical steps to implement other issues in Mr Annan's proposals, including an immediate cessation of the violence and the killing," Fawzi said.

On the ground acheternikechaussures.org..., thousands of anti-regime protesters Friday called for foreign military intervention to bring down the Syrian government. And the Syrian Observatory said at least 15 people were killed around the country on Friday.

The Syrian foreign ministry said in Damascus the government has vowed to cooperate with Annan, the special UN and Arab League envoy, while at the same time fighting "terrorism," its term for Syria's anti-regime revolt.
