Morpheus tells Neo [in M1] that someone was born in the Matrix who could "Change whatever he wanted - to remake the matrix as he saw fit."

Neo does not have this ability. He has superhuman strength and agility, he can fly and stop bullets in mid-air... he can't remake the matrix or change whatever he wanted.... Therefore, I really can't classify him as "The One". Is he just another glitch with powers like the Twins.

This leads to my theory that The Architect is "The One". He states that he created the Matrix... so it is possible that he could have been a previous "One"?


Note: At the end of M1 Neo looked like he had the ability to "change/remake do whatever he wanted" when he blew up Smith and appeared to "bend" the reality of the Matrix with his breath... but that all changed in Revolutions - now he's just a ninja superman.

Think about it, Neo is the one, The One was a method of control, The Architect isnt the One - he's the creature and part of "the one's" control. Neo can change the Matrix as he see's fit, he can stop bullets he can fly he can move fast, he can change the laws of physics. Thats the powers in which Morpheus is talking about it... plus it would make lousy film writing if he can just kill agents by thinking about it.
Anyway - we more or less just found out that there isnt a One it's just a control method. However Neo has these super powers which do change the Matrix, just we see them as Super powers like Superman, and that is not the way to look at it.

How can The Architect be "The One"?

Think this up:

1) If he is "The One", why did he create The Matrix to control humans? The very same thing humans are trying to destroy.

2) If he is "The One", why would he destroy Zion instead of saving it?

So, can The Architect be "The One"?
