Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions One Movie

I know the Wachowski Brothers were going for Reloaded and Revolutions being two movies which were actually one long one.

But I think they totally rushed a lot of both, ESPECIALLY THE DIALOGUE.

I think they should have just released one movie called Matrix Reloaded, and saved the third movie of the trilogy until years later once the Matrix franchise is underway.

This way, we would have waited for the third movie more, and the third movie could have EXPLAINED EVERYTHING. Not just be a tease for future Matrix spin-offs.

I think if you cut out all the unnecessary things from Reloaded and Revolutions, you can have a good 2-1/2 hour movie that would please fans and critics as the second movie in the Trilogy.

I'll post my thoughts on what the plot of this movie should be, but I have to go, so feel free to post your thoughts.

What was necessary, what should be cut out?

Okay, I think it should have started off with Bane running from Agents.

Then before the Agents get to him, Smith shows up and copies himself onto the Agents.

Bane will be confused as to why Smith helped him, then Smith copies onto Bane, then he answers the phone and goes into the Real World.

Cut to Neo waking up. They tell him the Council wants to talk to him.

Introduce Zion here, while the audience is still wide awake.

NOW do all the dialogue (not like Reloaded, which did it in the middle).

Then they all leave for the Matrix to find the Oracle.

Niobe and Ghost are part of Morpheus' crew in my version.

Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost find the Oracle.

She talks to each one of them, then finally Neo.

After the talk, all the Agent Smiths show up and Neo fights with them.

As Neo and the Smiths fight, Seraph leads Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost to the Merovingian's castle, where they can find the Keymaker.

Neo says he will catch up.

NOW you can have a cool battle (Neo versus Smiths simultaneously with Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost in an all-out gun battle with Merovingian exiles)

Seraph, Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost arrive at the castle and have to fight their way to the elevator, which leads them down into the Merovingian's Matrix.

Hence, much cooler.

Neo arrives late, but the Merovingian waits for him.

Here, the Merovingian tries to tempt Neo.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang are fighting their way to find the Keymaker.

Merovingian says he will kill Neo's friends if Neo does not join the side of Merovingian against the Machines.

Neo refuses, and goes to save his friends.

Meanwhile, they manage to free the Keymaker.

Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost escort the Keymaker away from the Merovingian's minions.

Seraph stays behind to help Neo fight the Merovingian's minions in Hell Matrix.

Seraph tells Neo to go help his friends on the highway.

Neo saves them.

Agent Smith arrives in Hell Matrix.

There is a three-way battle between Seraph, Merovingian's guys, and the Smith Clones.

Smith defeats all of them, inserting himself into everyone, including Seraph and the Merovingian.

Meanwhile, in Zion, Bane has sabotaged their defenses, and the Machines are already attacking the city.

At the same time, the Smith Clones are taking over the Matrix.

Morpheus, Niobe, Ghost, and Trinity fight Agents while Neo reaches the Source.

Neo reaches the Source and talks to the Architect.

Meanwhile, Zion is at war with the Machines, with the Machines winning.

Morpheus, Niobe, Ghost, and Trinity defeat some Agents, but they keep fighting.

Neo is told to choose to reload the Matrix or save his friends.

Neo chooses to save Trinity.

Neo arrives to save them.

Meanwhile, Smith Clones take over the Oracle.

Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, and Ghost go back to the Real World.

They want to bring their ship back to Zion to save Zion, but Neo says he knows what he must do, and they must bring him to the Machine City.

They find another ship that can be used, but there is no one inside.

Neo says he will fly the ship alone to the Machine City.

When Neo arrives at the Machine City, Bane comes out and they fight.

Neo realizes Bane is Smith, and tells the Dues Ex Machina to attach Bane to the Source.

Neo goes into the Matrix to fight the Smith Clones.

The super-smith that was cloned from the Oracle fights Neo.

They have a massive battle with energy blasts and Smith throwing cars at Neo.

The other Smith clones fight Neo, but Neo easily decimates them with a gigantic blast that wipes out the whole city.

Neo and Super-Smith go at it, with either one not getting tired or winning.

Neo allows Smith to insert himself into Neo.

Bane (Smith) was already attached to the Source, so all the Smiths are destroyed.

Neo is killed and the Matrix reloads.

Neo's code is dispersed throughout the Matrix.

Scene cuts to Merovingian, who has a Smith chained against the wall.

Merovingian says he preserved just ONE Smith Program, since the Merovingian could save programs from deletion.

They agree to a pact and ally themselves to destroy the Architect's Matrix.

The End.

And that, my friends, can be a 2 1/2 hour Matrix Reloaded.

Think of the possibilities of a third movie after that.

...with Aladdinamerican on this one.

The Matrix sequels sort of play as one movie, but only because virtually no time passes between the end of 2 and the start of 3. Take a look at the tone of 2 (loads of action in the Matrix, loads of kung-fu, very little intensity in Zion) and the tone of 3 (loads of intense action in Zion, very little action in the Matrix itself), and you can see that they really are two separate, different movies. (It's kinda like Kill Bill -- it could have been edited as one long movie, but it really works better as two, because the tone of each really is quite different.)

I wrote in one of your other threads already about the Fan Fiction thing, so I won't repeat myself too much here, but I have to say, you're looking for something, I can tell... What you're looking for, you can't say, but you feel it, like a splinter in your mind. Stop trying to add to the story, and just let the story take you down the rabbit hole. It's all there. There's no need for additional dialogue, or storylines, or action sequences. All you need is contained in the three films just as they are, and, one more place. ...You know where. Temet Nosce.

There is a great deal of symbolism in the movies that would be utterly lost if anything were added. 'Your version' is, with all due respect, unnecessary. I suggest, humbly, that you watch the movies again without trying to add to them in your mind. Just take them in, let them gestate, and then, watch them again. Then, we'll talk. Smile

Am I the only who think that the Wachowskys didnīt ever pretend that their movie would being taken as a religion or a philosophyc metaphisyc exercise, only an amusement with some kind of sense within a sci-fi story? Gumpred

No disrespect..but let me get this right....you belive you you could of handled the entire matrix empire by yourself better than an entire team of people from a major movie company stratigically thinking about all of the possible mediums (Animatrix, Enter the Matrix, Matrix Comics, HUGE Matrix online game, The path of Neo) to tell this increadible story.

If that was the case, we would not be on this forum talking about the movies. I would not be paying $15 a month to play a damn game, dying to get any ounce of story I can.

Not only were the movies perfect the way they were, but if they went about it the way that you wanted it, WB would be out of several BILLION dollars.

Again, no disrespect, but besides Star Wars, what movie has EVER generated so many mediums to tell a CONTINUING story and make so much freakin money?

I think that from a creative and business standpoint everything was handled perfectly.

But then again, what the fuck do I know? Its vice versa

From a contractual standpoint, I'm sure the Brothers wanted to have these movies filmed to assure that they would have the same people playing the same characters, and avoid any further deaths, and hardships within the cast.

Just my opinion.

I enjoy reading people's interpretations of "what should have been", regardless.

Going back to the first comment, fast paced I do not think!
You must be daft to think it was even slightly fast paced, it ran at a nice speed, and everything fit togeather in perfect harmony, if you can do any better I would like to see you try, it was one big movie split in half if you watch them one after the other. got the point? bazoom!

If there is something about The Matrix you don't understand, I can answer your every question.
