During Revolutions, when Seraph, Trinity & Morpheus look for the Trainman.. after the Trainman pulls the emergency stop, they chase him through a station. The station is marked as being called "Stellma". Does anybody know what this might mean and perhaps if it has any significance?

I have become accustomed to the Wachowskis making references to places in their hometown, Chicago.. for example, street names like "Clark & Lake" and also the train which the Trainman jumps in front of is marked "LOOP", which is the name used for the downtown section of the Chicago train system. The obvious exception to this has been Mobil Ave.. which has the significance of being an anagram of 'limbo'.. so I was wondering if maybe there might be a significance to this name as it seems to be a distinctive and odd name.

I am fairly familiar with the Chicago CTA and I'm almost certain that there's no stop called "Stellma".

I suppose there is the possibility that it might be a tribute to a crew member, like the Paterson Pass on the Freeway which was in reference to Owen Paterson the production designer.. and then there's Wo Ping Ave where the tea house that Neo fights Seraph is situated - a tribute to the legendary Yuen Wo Ping (fight choreographer) i also noticed that on the station map behind where the Trainman is seated on the train, there is a "Silver Plaines"... reference to Joel Silver perhaps?

I've seen Revolutions only once and have not gotten it on DVD yet so I couldn't be able to guess either. But I'll move this to a section where you might find help.

Perhaps it is an anagram of something like "LIMBO" is.

So i took the word Stellma and tried to make another word from it. there are only a few words that make sense in it. Mallets, and Tell Sam. first of all whos sam and tell him what. and i cant see the mallets thing being anywhere in the matrix. It is also a last name. i checked google. its alot of peoples last names. so maybe there is a stelma that worked on the matrix and they decided to make it a name of something. you never know though.

hope that helps allittle

Most likely a crew members name. Like, there's a billboard in M2 with a new lady in red with a phone and it says something like, dial for your salvation, reference to an exit. ANd she was a crew member, a hot one too.

Flip a coin. Choose heads or tails but, if you knew every variable, there would be no choice, only an answer. That is how the Architect works.

yeah, i tried watching the credits and picking the name out.. i didn't see any "Stellma"..

BUT.. having said that.. the credits are about a million hours long with billions of names crammed into the screen, so there is a slight possibility i dozed off in the middle and maybe missed a few names.

here's what an anagram generator came up with for stellma:Mallet s
Smell at, Stall 'em
Stall me, Alms let
Last elm, Mall set
Malt les, Mast ell
Salt elm, Sell mat
Slam let, Slat elm
Stem all, Tall 'em s
Tall me s, Tell am s
Tell ma s, 'em all st
All met s, All me st
Ell mat s, Ell am st
Ell ma st

do any of these apply? i dunno...i thought it was kinda cool though...any other words we have seen i can use this tool on?

i'm going with stall 'em, it almost works since he is trying to lose them and the train he jumps in front of actually does stall them...hehe who knows...brain hurts...must sleep....
