»Revolutions Machine Idea, what do y'all think?«

Ok, I know I'm gonna regret posting this. because I've scoured message boards all over the net looking for some deep thinkers to help me figure out what is happening in the matrix before Nov 05. Why? "because I like candy" I dont like thinking I cant figure something out on my own I.E. I dont like thinking I'm not in control. But it seems that instead of people working together to try to solve this puzzle with the information given we get people posting ideas they have, and other people posting "no way, you suck, I dont like that idea. I'm right because I say I am".. Typical... So here goes my 75cents (was 2cents, inflaition you know) The Humans won the war. I know, I know you dont like this answer, so your gonna tell me I'm wrong, go ahead. But what I'm going to tell you is the only conclusion I could come to that resolved all the information I have got from the first two movies and the animatrix and enter the matrix. It is a theory and despite it being a good one I know that 99% will accept it and 1% will reject it. Maybe a lesser program will help resolve that problem. On to the Theorum. Humans win and create the matrix to keep the A.I. machines in a fantasy world thinking they are humans because the humans need machines to continue doing the work without causing problems, like starting a rebellion and killing people. They do this because when they nuked 01 they scorched the sky and rendered the earth uninhabitable for humans. They needed the machines to keep them alive until the earth healed. This matrix was designed to have controls and failsafes. It also included a routine to monitor the A.I's development. And a designed senario to test if the an A.I. had developed to the point that it could co-exist with humans in peace. You see the problem with the first machine that became self aware was it only developed a sense of self preservation while that is one of the traits of being a living entity, it by no means is the only one. Later the machines evolved to adapt another human trait, hate. These first signs of sentient thought, self preservation and hate, showed that the A.I. machines could possibly evolve to matching all the traits needed to live as an equal with mankind. The problem is they had only begun the journey to being a real living entity. These new emotions Self awareness coupled with self preservation and hate caused them to rise up like little hate inbittered children against the creators, who summarilly spanked them (With a lot of nukes) and put them in the matrix to think about what they did until they grow up enough to be let out. The A.I.'s that reject the matrix are sent to the fail safe, Zion. Here they are out of the way and are used by the system to find the one, that is the only one that will reject the matrix and the failsafe. The function of the matrix is to keep the A.I. trapped in la la land. The function of Zion is to use the A.I. that reject the matrix to find the real threat, the one I.E. the one that will reject both holding cells. The system sets up an entire fictional chain of events from the first time it started to the time the one is found, for the purpose of testing the one to see if it has evolved to the point of having all the traits of a human. I.E. self aware, self preservation, abstract thought, care, compasion, sacrifice, love. If the one has not met these conditions then it will allways choose the door to the right, allowing the code of the one to be re-entered into the matrix keeping all the progress it made before intact. The restart command is also embeded into the one as soon as the system knows it has been found, that way when the one re-enters the source the progress the one has made is saved and the system receives the restart command. Thats why everyone talks like they have done all this before, its because they have. Everyone gets messed up here thinking that totally different people played out the previous matrix runs, not true. Everything happend just like before because everyone was in it just like before, Neo, Trin, Morf, you get it. Its all software no humans. Anyway Neo has passed the test and this time has done something the previous A.I.'s / one did'nt do. He has trancended the limits of a machine and has gained all the traits a human has, the last trait he gained was love so he did something very human and very not machine, something not logical. Even though the only logical thing to do was enter the source he chose love and hope. Now he will have to face the final test of the system before he will become the first A.I. to leave the matrix. He will have to show self sacrifice for love. Then he will be shown the truth. That he is a machine that has become fully human. And he will be the link between man and machine. The one to teach the machines all the traits they need to live at peace with man. 2 testicles over.

I really like your theory. Many people have thought of "maybe everyone is a program in a computer" but you have created a great meaning to the theory, and end to the movie.

Your theory would explain a lot; Why the Oracle can tell the future or Smith stating "It's happening just like before." Or when the Oracle tells Neo "You've already made the choice, now you must understand why." etc.

Isn't this "The System Theory"? Anyway, It's old but good. But if I were Neo and had to go through the path of The One, and then discovered the truth, I would unlesh hell on the real mankind.
