I was just wondering what would happen if a schizophrenic or a person with mutiple personality syndrome logged into the Matrix.

Who knows? Those are chemical imbalances so I doubt they'd work properly within the Matrix. Likely they'd be liquidify and feed to the little human babies

He would be probably a shiz in the matrix, too.

Potentially, I would wager, someone who was genuinely mad might well be a contender for having fancy powers. After all, someone who is not fooled by the matrix and thus really believes they can punch through a wall or jump across the rooftops might well manage it. It is not essential to be unplugged, merely realising that the matrix has rules that can be bent is enough.

As someone who has worked with the mentally ill myself, I have personally lost arm wrestling matches to eighty year old, skinny male patients. Likewise i have seen the human body put on some amazing feats of strength and endurance when someone is insane and thus "no longer bound by our rules". Women sometimes lift cars that are trapping their kids, when most times, they would not be liftable by two strong men.

Worth considering, certainly.

I just want to thank you for your replies and also explain the purpose of this forum. It's cool to sit and spout religious philosophy in relation to the Matrix and play with the numbers, but I want to play with the concept of the Matrix. There are alot of things left out of the movies that happen in everyday life. I just wanted a place to ask hypothetical questions and hear what other Matrix fans had to say about the concepts presented. Personally, I'd figure a person with multiple personality syndrome might be able to morph into the appearance of the personality in control. A white middle aged woman with MPS could very well appear to be a black teen-aged male if that personality were in the forefront of that person's psyche.
