»Zion Gate Control?«

Sorry, I am new to this forum and this question might be posted by someone else...please forgive me if this is so. When we see the ship Link is driving towards Zion, we see Zion Gate Control, and the controllers are plugged into the Matrix and managing the gates through the Matrix. But I always thought that you had to be at a proper broadcast depth in order to tap into the Matrix. Hence why Morpheus (sp?) wants at least one ship to stay behind to await contact from the Oracle. If I looking to deep into this? Thank you and I am glad to be on the boards.

I think this was in another thread... but anyway.

Its a program like the Matrix, but not the matrix.

Remember, from all the training programs we saw in the first film, and the construct (as morepheus calls it) it has been shown that humans have programs they can tap into that are not part of the matrix.

Therefore its feasible that this is part of the Zion Mainframe, a separate programmed, world from the Matrix.

Remeber when Smith was trying to get access codes for the mainframe. Perhaps this would have allowed him to tap into the program these controllers are using... just a random thought anyway.
