But we're agreed it has everything to do with smith, Right?

My mistake, I left out a couple of words.
It has nothing to do with Zion being another matrix which is what I was getting at.

Agreed, thus Smith has everything to do with Zion.
OT: Speaking of Smith, notice he's the only one that calls Neo Mr.Anderson.

notice that smith is the only thing seen in the fire code.. not the ship or anything surrounding him... thats becus the fire code is VIRUS code.( and serah is an independant programme. thusly.. to the system he is "almost" a virus.. thats why he has gold firey code ).. also .seeing as u cant see the walls of the ship in fire code.. ZION IS NOT A MATRIX ( yaya anti MWAM strikes again ).. sorry Very Happy

You're saying the fire code is a virus code, but Zion is not within the Matrix? How does a virus code exist OUTSIDE of the Matrix? If fire code is a virus, then your theory in fact supports the MiM theory.

On the matter of explaining the so-called "fire code" perhaps it's not "code" at all and it's just the movie's way of showing us that it's Agent Smith inside. If they had shown it to us in regular code, it would look mechanical and therefore would we be able to accurately recognize it as Smith? Perhaps it's just a visual effect to move the plot and we are all theorizing about something that doesn't mean anything... Very Happy

but neo is seen later in the movie walking through the "fire code" which I do believe is code becasue i believe that he can acess the code to anything that runs on scripts.. wirelessly. hence stopping sentinels... ( also in the "walking thru fire" part some of the flamey things resemble sentinel shapes ).

NO HE IS NOT. What you see in the trailer looks NOTHING like Smith's aura. NOTHING. The stuff you're talking about has a whitish/pinkish hue. I confess I don't know what that stuff is (there's a thread about it and last I ckecked the dominant theory was wiring), but I know for DAMN sure that it's not the aura.

PS I've noticed that none of the MWM proponents have really offered any defense of their theory in this thread. Mostly they just question things like "are you sure those scenes are in the same order in the trailer as they are in the film? (pretty damn sure). So, is that good for us bad for us?

Ahem, it's the ZINAM theory (Zion is not a Matrix) that needs some backup. Call me stupid but seeing Neo in the trailers bashing sents to his left and right needs explanation, not vice versa.

First and foremost this is a movie. It's created by two anime lovers. Have you ever watched an anime before? For example: Ruroni Kenshin... GREAT anime. The main character Kenshin is able to attack with god-like speed (you can't see it with normal eyes). Is it explained? No it's not explained. It's part of the anime and that's that.

The same goes for Matrix. I don't know the extent to which they describe neo's ability to blow up the sentinels from outside the matrix but I assume they'll mention how he has a connection to the matrix while outside it in Zion. You can beat around the bush looking for a physical explaination all your want but in the end I'm sure it's just one of those things you'll have to accept.

Lots of people loved Spiderman (series/movie)... do you think Spiderman fans agrue over the realistic explaination of how Peter Park is able to grow fuzzy spider thingies on his body so he can climb on walls? Of course not that would make the character pointless.

Neo has a connection to the matrix somehow and because of that he is able to see other object which have a connection to the matrix.. Smith also seems to have the same connection using Bane. Also the machines would have the same connection. What is the physical or logical explaination of how this connection has been created? WHO CARES! ITS A MOVIE! ENJOY IT RATHER THEN TRYING TO PICK EVERYTHING APART!

I have come to the same conclusion. Neo's powers will probably not be explained technically. But I still think people should try to pick everything apart. Wink

I've always believed that a good movie is one that sparks a conversation after it is over. Clearly, the Matrix is one of those movies. And when you consider the amount of detail in the Matrix movies, I don't know how you cannot discuss it. I guess some people would rather be entertained instead of intellectually stimulated.

Actually in a TV Spot trailer.. *goes to find it* ... "Power" to be exact, you see the "Aura" or "Fire Code" or whatever you announced it was, and it is talking, then it morphs into Smith telling Neo that he is not so bad once he gets to know him. Therefore the official trailer is trying to put us off by pretending Neo can see Bane in the real world.

But as to that fire code, we have never seen it before, but suddenly we see lots of it in Revolutions.
As in the Smith code, Neo walking out into something with fire code, and then you see Neo sitting in a chair (possibly on the ship, whatever its called) and he hits what looks like tentacles of a Sentinel. I don't know if anyone has seen other places but these are the ones off the top of my head.

Nice try.. but you should really look at the Power tv spot closer.
#1 the "fire" Smith is not talking
#2 the "fire" Smith is at a different angle then the "real" Smith in the next scene that IS talking.

There is no transformation from one to the other.

Obviously, there has to be some explanation for Neo's real-world powers. What I'm saying here is that the MIM theory cannot (or is significanlty less likely to be) that explanation. But MIM adherents clearly need to explain this obvious difference between the "real world" and the Matrix.
