I have read alot on this, through-out this fourm website, and it is interesting to see that alot of people believe that zion is a matrix, with in a matrix. I on the other hand believe it is not. and here is why.

Yes to some extent the machines have control over the humans ie. the sentianls but it is not systematic control like the matrix. But at the end of the day the humans in zion have the choice to fight or not. But in the matrix, the humans are slaves.

Your thoughs please.

all one has to go by is the arcitect scene. For humans to accept the system, they need to think they could get out if they wanted to. For the machines to control them should they get out, they need to make "the one". If zion is another matrix, than the machines are completely unbeatable and are smarter than anyone thought, and they have completely fooled the human race for at least 600 years. If Zion is real, than everything the arcitect said was true. That 99% accept the programming and 1% reject, if given the choice, and the pods are able to get out of should one reject, and that somehow they can't just kill people should they get out. Here's part of the scene I don't get though: "a minority, if unchecked, (referring to the 1% who reject the programming) will constitute an escalating probability of disaster" Simply rejecting the programming doesn't get you out. You need someone to give you a pill, the get out machine to come and get you out, what we saw in the first movie. Get it? Strange but obviously there's more questions here.

I don't think Zion is a Matrix within a Matrix. I think Zion is where all the redpills go when unplugged from the Matrix. Like theson said if Zion is a matrix within a matrix the machines are smarter then anyone thought. But I believe the Architect was telling the truth because programs don't lie.

I am a believer of the Mwm theory, not just because it is the easiest way to go by, but beacuase of a series of arguments and theories of my own that I have. I don't have much time now to put posts of that magnitud(they are extrense), but time will tell.
