»How big is The Matrix«

One thing that I have missed or it has never been revealed, but just how big is the matrix? I realize that it's rather large from the first movie when Morph is descibing everyting to Neo, but is it just the size of one city block, many blocks? Is it the size of an entire city?

Any of you that know about networking know about server farms, are there Matrix server farms?

or

If there is a matrix in say Las Angles, and one in London for example, are they networked or are they ran totally independant?

This is a very good question, I would presume that the Matrix is a worldwide phenomenon - I feel that it would have to be considering that the Human Race scorched the sky, they couldn't very well scorch it in one place..
If you want to watch a really good film regarding this sort-of theme, watch Dark City (If you haven't already done so).....

Hehe, that is too funny you should post that because I took as snapshot of that very exact same image this afternoon and created a background for my PC.

how can the matrix exist in the machine world? I thought the matrix was worldwide because didn't Neo visit Asia and France in Reloaded? The Matrix has to be more than one city, I think that city is just a machine city.

Where Neo visited is irrelavent to the size of the matrix. It's a simulation

Well, just to clarify things, I was referring to the matrix in the machine world. Even to further specify, the tower pod things that the humans are plugged into.

Like the ones in the picture above?

The towers are actually black, but appear red due to the density of pods on their surface.

We don't know for certain if there is more than one of the above clusters.

I suppose it depends if 01 is the only machine city, I would imagine other machine cities would have their own batteries

You mean how big is the simulated world? Maybe it's HUGE, because when Neo goes to the Architect his door of light becomes a tiny spot wich zooms out to a galaxy.

Na, I wanted to know how big the pod towers were, and or how many were grouped together. The machinery that the humans are actually plugged into
