»"Thus man was the Architect of his own demise"«

In the Animatrix the narrorator states: "thus man was the architect of his own demise." What relevance do you see this statement has in relation to the architect of Reloaded and Revolutions?

Did man some how create the architect through acting against the machines in the way they did? Destroying the sky and taking their source of energy, and leading to massive machine backlash.

I think it means that by creating AI, and treating machines like crap, humans initiated their own defeat, and when the machines struck back humans were toast, and thus man was the architect of his own demise. It has nothing to do with the architect in reloaded and revolutions.

Maybe the architect resembles us humans ("...man was the architect..."). Which would mean that sooner or later the architect along with The Matrix would be destroyed, just like the humans came to their down fall. Thats my theory of things.
