Somewhere on the main site there are theories as to what the Merovingian's quote "I have survived your predacessors, and I will survive you" means. One says that there have been more than 6 matrixes, but only six ones survived and by the "survived" quote they think that the Merovingian killed the one, another says that the "predacessors" are agents. Well, I think that the quote means exactly what it means when you look at it at first glance. "surviving" doesn't necessarily mean killing the one, just escaping him. Neo killed the Merovingian's henchmen(much to my delite to be honest), and the Merovingian escapes, therefor he "survived" Neo, and since Revolutions wasn't expected to happen, he thought that Neo wouldn't come after him later. The Merovingian opens the door, walks through it, closes it, teleports away and survives, bingo. YOu don't hear any gunshots or screaming or explosions and severed arms flying out of the crack of the door...er, nevermind. A few people think that the "I survived your predacessors" quote means more than it actually does, but it doesn't, not everything is a hidden message
