[Matrix 1]
Neo (the first time he returned to the Matrix): "I used to eat there. Really good noodles. I have these memories from my life. None of them happened. What does that mean?"
Trinity: "That the Matrix cannot tell you who you are."

2 things from me

1:in the documentary extras on revolutions...the ship that crashes through gate 13 is refered to as the mojliner(?) yet in the film it is the hammer

2:and this one may be my mistake

the end of reloaded sees the neb getting destroyed...neo going into a coma and the hammer rescuing them

revolutions continues straight after with no time to return to zion

we know that there has been no word from the neb to zion and locke seems surprised when the hammer is confirmed heading toward gate 13

so we can presume no contact between the ships and zion has taken place

so

how is it that zee is so certain that link is aboard the hammer when she hears the announcment that it is heading for gate 13

and dont give me that "womens intuition" crap

hahaha

any thoughts?

1. The ship name, Mjolnir, is a reference to the Norse god, Thor. I'm sure you know from the comic that Thor's weapon of choice was a hammer. Consequently, the hammer's name...Mjolnir.

2. Yeah, I was wondering about her "intuition," as well. I'm guessing that since the sentinels are even more in "seach & destroy" mode, any radio contact would be dangerous and could give away the location of the Mjolnir. Perhaps, Zee feels Link is coming home because she hasn't heard or confirmed that he is dead and is hoping that he is headed home. Again, sketchy at best.

How would YOU be able to tell the difference between the dream world...and the real world?

Actually, the Mjolnir and the Hammer are the same ship. That bit about Thor is correct. Mjolnir was the name of Thor's hammer. I bet the official name for the ship is Mjolnir, but they call it the Hammer, since it's easier and as a nickname.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

i know it isn't explained in the movies.. but i don't think its a mistake..

and lol, no.. i'm not gonna say women's intuition either.. but i think its more to do with faith.. she had to have faith that he was on board that ship because it might have been the ONLY chance that Link was coming back. She might not have known for SURE.. but I think it was more because she couldn't give up hope of seeing Link alive at that point.. like she says when she sees him "I knew you'd come.. I knew it."

I'm watching the Revolutions DVD as I type this and they are saying Gate 3. Not Gate 13. I know this has no real relevence but I just figured isnce no one else had made note of it that maybe its Gate 13 on other versions of the film. Mine is just a regular American Matrix Revolutions DVD and it says Gate 3. A point of confusion that might be causing you to remember Gate 13 is when Locke asks how many APU's are operational the number is 13. Then he asks to be put in contatc with the one closest to Gate 3. No relevence to the mistake in this topic I just thought I'd make that note.

yeah so does anyone have a different version? or when anomaly said 13 did no one just bother not to mention it? I figured it was maybe just a typo but he said it several times and I was just curious if maybe it was gate 13 in some versions

The name "Hammer" may refer to the famed 20th century rap star, "MC Hammer", who sang songs such as "Cant touch this". Niobe does comment that the Hammer has a "Fat ass" and MC Hammer was known to wear large pants/trousers as a signiature piece of clothing.

bbc.co.uk...

Note the pants in this linked pic, could these be similar to the flight profile of the Hammer vessel? Certainly they are both metallic and shiny, though the substance of their manufcature is uncertain.

Additionally, in removed footage from the original screenplay, there was intended to be a sequence involving the hammer's crew dancing around to avoid the loose bullets that fly out of the ammo feeder during the tense battle scene. It was believed that the dance was modelled on the "Hammer Time" MC Hammer steps and thus the name would have become infamous throughout the Zion fleet. Regrettably, this valuable footage was lost due to screen time limitations.

Heres my see on it. (BTW Anomaly this is There_Is_No_Spoon from cavola)

I agree with the point made before about no contact being made and zee thinking that it might be bacause of radio silence. But i also see it as a matter of hope. I don't think she KNOWS hes there, I think she hopes hes there. I mean the entire fleet is down right? many from the emp bane set off, no word from the neb or logos. what word zion has on the fleet is all negative news. I think its a light of hope, an almost sudden "theres still a ship out there?" reaction and then a sudden hope that maybe they rescued others of the fleet. I don't think she actually knows and i definately don't believe that womens intuition crap. Thats my take on it, hope.
