When Neo is captured by tha agents and his mouth is sealed, you can see some tvs watching neo. This can be a normal camera, but they are exactly the same tvs that the Architect has in the source in Reloaded.
So the Architect is watching Neo since the beginning.

I have a question: when the WBs did the Matrix 1, were they planning to do a trilogy?

They were not intending to make it into a trilogy. I guess they just needed to add to their success with Harry Potter.

Yes they were. They knew they had a lot more material. They probably figured if M1 would be a hit, they'd continue with the others.

Oh yes, they knew it was going to be a trilogy, or atleast have a sequel, if they could make the first one a big hit. So yeah, they're the same monitors.

Flip a coin. Choose heads or tails but, if you knew every variable, there would be no choice, only an answer. That is how the Architect works.

Yes, they had a triology in mind from very beginning, but they didn't know how people would respond for their idea so the first movie was intended to clear that out. And if it weren't accepted so well, I don't think there would be sequels. Even Warner Bros. company was very sceptical regarding it - they actualy had to make Bound to prove their talent. So, these TVs are definitely the same from Reloaded - everything in whole triology is connected one way or another and there are hardly any coincidences and there are no inconsistences. That's why we love it!

Yeah, for example, Morpheus was not sure about wich year it was and that fact was required for the story of the reloads to be possible.
According to the first script, the 5 previous One were already mentioned in the story and the zionnist knew about them, wich means that the reloads were not planned in their first version.

Neo:"there is no spoon"
Merovingian:"there is no lipstick!"
