I hope no one posted this before. I was just taking the tour of Mega City in

matrixonline.com...
and I came across this very interesting piece of info:

Quote:

Cerulean
A middle child in the family of exiles who control most of the Barrens, Cerulean has invested heavily in understanding the infrastructure of the Matrix in an attempt to learn how to control it better and use its power against her enemies.
She seems convinced that Indigo's power base can be defeated in this way, but she suffered an enormous setback when the Matrix was reconfigured in the wake of the Zion-Machine Truce. Much of the code she had stockpiled was wiped out, including parts of her own personal code that she had tried to hide. The result was a loss of her RSI's rendering subroutine. Cerulean is now effectively a ghost.

She is currently dedicated to accumulating more information than ever, and proving that her mind is more than capable of overcoming any amount of power her siblings can amass.

So, according to this official source, The Matrix wasn't reloaded or reset. It was only reconfigured.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

You might want to read the first page of this thread.

We agreed that the Matrix is not `reloaded' but only `reset' or `re-integrated'. I think `reconfigured' would be the same thing....but we'll see what Fatpie thinks about it.

I just read it, and the way I see it there's too much speculation going on in there.

To me, Reloaded and Reset mean the exact same thing. Take for example when you reset your computer. If you just push the reset button, your PC will turn off for a while and then begin to reboot. On the other hand, if you perform a disk defrag, your PC is still up and running. It starts to "reorganize" the hard drive while still being operational.

The first example is a reload or reset, while the second one is a reconfiguration or reintegration to me. Which is what happens in Revolutions. You never see The Matrix getting shut down, you only see it change very fast.

I believe the fact that it was reconfigured will be very significant when you play The Matrix Online. We'll just have to wait and see.

Comments?

Well the argument is somewhat like this-

The Matrix cannot be shut down and then restarted because once it is shut down then its just gone. What happens to all those human minds? I think it keeps running until someone reconfigures it.

Fatpie,....we need you here.
