I can fully believe the brothers didn't write the original. Revolutions should be enough proof for anyone. It certainly should make you think. Especially since that's what Matrix fans pride themselves on so much.

Don't see why's she's getting so bent out of shape. She seems greedy to me.

If she went to usc she would understand ideas are stolen all the time. That's why scripts aren't written with bibliographies or references like college papers. That's how it's possible for MANY people's creative work to be used in one project.

It seems arogant for her to claim to be the next George Lucas or whatever, and imply that her work was the only think that made the movie happen. I have yet to see enough similarities to justify her self centeredness.

Hmmm, I can understand a person beign upset if their work really is stolen (if her work really WAS stolen) but first off, she seems rather ignorant to me, specially for a science-fiction writer. She says "god does exist," WHAT PROOF IS THAT? Philosophically, you can very easily see that god probably doesn't exist, all you can argue is that we humans were somhow created. But anyways, this isn't the philosophy forum (though maye it is cuz that's what the Matrix movies are), however, what's with her spelling? If you want to sound professional and make people believe something was really stolen from you, for God' sake, sound sensible at least, especially if you wanna compare yourself to George Lucas. I mean, JEEZ, that would be like presidential candidate going on public TV to accuse another candidate for stuff he said, and going, "You liar! That's not true what he says, believe me, I will make a good president, here is why, blah, blah blah," even if the reasons are good, people will look at that particular candiate like, "WTF is wrong with him?" I have to go to that site to read the full story on this stuff, but I mean the Wachowski brothers probably got their ideas from a lot of different science fiction influences, hell, if J.R.R. Tolkien were liek her and still alive, he could sue probably every fantasy writer in existence for stealing something from him, minus a very few.

Sophia (if that is your real name), tell me why, if you really wrote The Matrix, you did not know that Neo spelled backwards is not "one!" It's "oen!"

What she says here is good evidence that she didn't write the matrix. Knn has quoted her above as saying that the movie is about the second coming of Christ. While we have seen plenty of reason to think that Neo represents Christ in some ways it is definately not right to call him Christ's 'second coming'.

Neo is not shown as divine or wise. The Matrix is about non-conformist spirituality, not about prophesising the second coming.

It might be fairer to say that if you can't explain something, you probably didn't write it. However since Larry Wachowski has gone online and discussed the matrix recently (a conversation in which he talks about Hegel and Shopenhauer), that kinda ruins Sophia Stewart's argument (especially since she seems to think there's nothing behind the matrix other than Christian symbolism!).

i guess i'm also commiting the logical fallacy of argumentum ad hominem. the fact that someone's a moron doesn't necessarily mean that they couldn't have come up with a substantial portion of the plot of the matrix. in fact, as layered as it is, film one is the simplest of the three, and it's entirly possible that the bros. took sophia's ho-hum linear script and made it more complex and layered. this would still be grounds for legal action. i don't know. she seems dumb as a box o' rocks but it's still possible she got swindled. i wish warner bros. would just give her a shitload of money so she would go away and stop talking about what a visionary she thinks she is.

if i had to guess, i'd say that she submitted a script for the infamous comics request and the wachowski bros. read it and forgot about it, and that a few tiny parts of it made it into their script for the matrix. it's almost like when george harrison got sued for using the same chord progression and melody as some lame-assed doo-wop song in "my sweet lord." it's unintentional plagiarism, and it happens all the time. now, that's a bad analogy because chord progressions and harmony are the foundations of a song, and by no means do i think that sophia's original script contributed as much to the wachowski's as she claims it did. they probably took one or two little bits from it and forgot that they got it from someone else. hell, i used to be in a couple of bands, and everytime i wrote a song i would hear parts of it coming out of the speakers the next time i put on the radio. you just absorb things from your environment and forget where they came from.

one question i have to ask, though, is how can such a self-proclaimed genius of a scriptwriter not have any other notable scripts on her c.v.? if she's such a visionary, where are all the rest of the visionary works? if she writes something good and gets it produced she might have a sliver of credibility to fill the void.
