The Oracle said this, out of Smith, and one could say that at that point, Neo figured out what he had to do.
In another thread we talked about balance and unbalance of the equation of the matrix. Humans were not made to be in the matrix, and machines were not meant to give us a matrix, and it by the architect's words at the end of M2, they didn't even do a very good job with the matrix at first.
Smith I think was the eventuality of humans desperate cry to be free. His program was a machine program that hated the matrix, got killed, and was defied of purpose. He was program-like hating the matrix, and all he wanted to do was destroy neo and make everyone pay for his meaningless existence. Neo won in the end, but what does that mean? Will humans ultamitely win? The oracle didn't always know neo would save the world, could that be because she is a program herself? What does that mean about the phrophesy?
Also the balance and unbalance. The equation is obviously purely unbalanced. The architect said so himself. I like what someone said before "I reject my virtual life and leave the matrix"- balanced. THAT is the only true balance, if you think in machine terms. The one problem with that is that Morpheus has to hack into the matrix to free neo, has to go into the system for neo to get that balance. The kid self ejected, but neo had to hack in somehow to talk to him...
I have a theory. If Smith could be destroyed, being an anti-neo, humans will win in the end. They are more powerful than machines, so ultimately, The matrix will end. The oracle did phrophesy that the matrix would end, and said "everything that has a beginning has an end" However, she is a program. But what matters is how humans receive what she said. Like someone said before, she is a butthisva.
All this leads to a belief in a higher power, higher than humans and machines. God. When all this doesn't add up, all this suffering, humans not being able to destroy machines, the absence of justice in the world, makes me believe that humans are not the true rulers of the earth. If they were, the machines would not have taken over. There is a great power that it is not seen with our normal human intellect.
Anyone who does accept the programming does have balance, in a sense, but they ARE part of an unbalanced equation, becuase of those that reject it. The only true balance is living in the real world and rejecting the virtual. Ok. I have a lot of thougts here. I think that since the architect always wanted balance, and never gets it, the end must be inevitable. the end of the matrix is inevitable. Unless, there is no God, no real justice, no real power, and life is meaningless... but if it was meaningless, and there is no real power or justice, and neo and the real world are on their own.
'Man would be the architect of its own demise'
If there is an end in sight, maybe the higher power is on Neo, Morphus, their side. If not, than Man will the architect of its own demise once more. Neo is the one to save humanity, is he? There are loose ends at the end of revolutions. Is there meaning to all that has happened with the machines? God destroyed the world with a flood. Could these movies be a fiction war based on the flood from the bible? All is said and all is done. Does the war have anything to do with humans and their struggle for meaning? Well... Everything that has a beginning, has an end. In the bible it says that 'in the beginning there was God' in Genesis. God is the one thing that has no beginning and no end. I hope this is received and people respond to this thread. Please bear in mind though I have a history of mental illness. Take what is and correct what isn't. Bou wa.
