"Reloaded and Revolutions were bull. All the philosophical insights and questions raised in the first movie disappeared. There was no point to Reloaded and Revolutions."

This is one of the most ANNOYING things a person can say. It puts me on fire! It is so untrue, so inaccurate, so ignorant. I feel pity for a man who says this. But whenever someone says that, I get tounge tied.

How would you reply if someone insulted the intellectual wealth in the sequels? What would you say?

Wen sumone makes such an ignorant, contradicting statement like that, u jus simply ask them 2 show hard evidence for their blashphemous statements. 99% of the time they cannot give ne other evidence other than state that they are entitled 2 their own opinon..blah..blah..blah. Then just ignore them and state that ppl like that shud not belong on this forum, if they wanna trash brilliant movies then let them make their own sites and behave like fools and say ignorant things in their own time!(If that doesnt work, then jus tell them 2 F*** OF!)

I was compelled to stay

Let people say what they want, it is obvious that this is upsetting to you but does it really matter that a few people disagree with you?
Id just say "I liked the movies, its a shame you didnt"

I actually have trouble with the other extreme too though.

"The matrix trilogy was a masterpiece and there was no way it could have been improved upon. It was perfect."

There are tons of problems with the sequels - none of which have anything to do with the plot!

The dialogue got poorer as the movies went on. "Neo, I believe", "Man that woman can drive" and "But I never finished the training program - neither did I" *throws up*

The sentinel attack on Zion, while very pretty, went on too long.

The medical officer on the Hammer acted like a reject from Star Trek. The Kid's acting was even worse.

Strangely enough though most people were saying the ending upset them. They wanted to see the machines decimated and all the humans magically escaping from the matrix instantaneously. Making peace with the machines seemed almost insulting to them.

Ya they are wierd. The ending was the best part of Revolutions.

Of course there are flaws in the directing of the films. The dialouge and acting, as you said, were definitely not the best.
