»Neo controls the sentinels .... from within the matrix?«

Having read another of the incredibly interesting topics here, I was reminded of possible clue to the nature of Neo's "real world" powers.

Recall, please, in the Matrix: at one point, the agents indicate that they have sent sentinels after the hover ship.

This would seem to indicate that there is some link, then, with the Matrix and the "real world" sentinels, would it not? The linchpin to the theory depends on whether entities in the Matrix can exert control over the sentinels to any degree.

Further, Neo appears to be capable of being inside the Matrix AND in the "real world" at the same time. For evidence, refer to Trinity's 'awakening' of Neo in the first Matrix film.

Could it be, then, that Neo is simultaneously able to exist as a Matrix entity as well as a "real world" individual?

If so, this could easily explain his being able to "feel" the sentinels at the end of Reloaded.

I look forward to your thoughts on this matter. I see a couple of holes in the theorem, but I'll wait to see what you fine folks have to say before I post them.

is that both programs and machines, whether in the Matrix or without, are still a part of the same team, so there is probably a central command for both. Apparently, the program Smith is able to issue directives or orders through that central command and, even though he is in the Matrix, affect things outside in the real world.

The video game ETM gives the information that Neo is split between both worlds. If thats so, and he already has the ability to override the rules from the machine world's central command of the Matrix, that if he was split in both places at once, he could easily find a way to self destruct the sentinels in the real world too through that system if part of him was indeed in the Matrix.
