there are lots of things i have to agree with you, but dont you think, some retranslations are just stupid? i mean:
>"Where the hell'd they go?" - " Scheiße, wo sind die?"< it means the same, what does it matter if you say 'scheisse' or 'verdammt'?!

>"Can't take this." - "Nicht zu fassen"<
should he say 'kann das nicht fassen'?! it means exactly the same, except the 2 words. and finally it has to sound a little normal in BOTH languages and not to be just translated! it must be figurative!
...there is much more...

No, it differs, it makes the movie more rude. It also takes out "hell"m which may have a deeper meaning.

This is true. There is hardly a difference. BUT: There was a correlation with HOW he said it. And both (the how and the what) made a difference and weakend the scene.

That's somewhat true. I planned to position the mistranslation on a scale from "Well not so terrible" to "The translation was on pot in his pod". But I never had the time.
