The Seraph's wings must have "fallen" after he was with the Merv.
It would be strange if not - would meant that the hechmen of the Merv (and the merv himself - "L'ange sans ses ailles" ) knew Seraph from the Machine's realm (before he had fallen);
It seems that Seraph's "fall" was done afterwards he left the Merv's company (whatever their link was) - Merv and his Henchmen seem to have known Seraph WITH his wings;
This would link Merv and the Arch - somewhere in the past as direct partners in the ruling of the Matrix realm - the Demiurgos and his right hand - the one who controled humans by fear (and maybe exileds too) - the Merv and his "compadres" - those he wanted to keep when he was put aside after the appearance of the Oracle as a "minor" evil the Arch had to bear in order to keep the existance of humans inside the Matrix...
But, returning to Seraph:
It seems to me that he loosing his wings is linked with his decision to help (or be helped) by the Oracle...
I could say our Oracle represents the Serpent from the Bible - she's Lucifer, the one who defies the laws of the Father and brings Adam (mankind) from within the numbness of the paradise (the perfect creation of the Arch - she introduced choice, thus entering an option not intent by the Architect God, the Demiurgos, the Father, the "false god"...);
Seraph lost his wings, he felt, when he united the rebels from his own realm - and who are the rebels from within the machine realm?
Exileds maybe?...
And who is helping the exileds (being willingly able to risk her own shell, in the case of Sati?)...
Well, in fact, who's helping rebels from both sides against the organized (and somehow, tyranic rule that denies choice from both humans and programs) sistem?
Yeap, I know you know the answer...
Oh, by the way:
She loves candi (and the red pill seems a funny alegory of the red apple that throws away our "parents" from the paradise to the world of choice);
She's dressed in green when we see her in the Rev (guess who has the green colour in his side?

... your opinion is?...
I don't know what to say about that kind of answer - one thing is for sure - not productive at all ;
