I have been teaching jewish philosophy using the matrix
as a tool.
The jist of the theory is that GOD is revealing himself
to the world throughout history using various means.
Abraham of the bible being the first, the jewish people
throughout history another, the christian church and
evangelical missionizing and most recently the media.
There is a lot of kaballah (jewish mysticism revealed in
the matrix as well as in other films like
what dreams may come and believe it or nor not,
bruce allmighty, labrynth and the truman show.

I do not know a whole lot about kaballah, but I do remember about how the world was created by each of the 22 hebrew letters?

Anyways, it's kind of curious that humans have 22 pairs of autosomal chromosomes (= the chromosomes similar for both male and female) while the 23rd chromosome is different depending on the individual's sex. One important strand in the matrix story is about how the machines are attempting an evolutionary leap, a leap in the power of love, instrumentalized through Neo and Trinity. It's as if the most nagging anomaly has to do with this 23rd chromosome pair?

We also meet "23" in the number of individuals (16 females and 7 males) The One is to choose for the new Zion.
