Fill me in on your perspective. Do you think Smith was asking that question and speaking of Neo's in-the-matrix life and out-of-the-matrix life? it's possible.
BUT
not all statements have double meanings. i think its more likely Smith was referring to Neo-the-inside-the-matrix-hacker life and the Thomas-Anderson-software-programmer-life.

and although i have much respect for the your supremecy over all of us who have not "seen" the matrix, i have no respect for the fact that you've seen the movie and still find it (%entertaining%, %cool%, %powerfull%) necessary to hang out in this forum
