cluded. Politik, clocks and The scientist would have fitted beautifully in the Matrix movies, particularly the first. I know that the movies were made prior to the release of the songs, however I find myself whilst watching the movies for the 20th time, fitting these songs into the matrix. 'Give me real don't give me fake', 'give me strength and self control', 'open up your eyes, open up your eyes' 'give me heart and give me soul'.

Coldplay in the Matrix would make me sad. But thats only because i hate coldplay. I can understand your point but it still makes me sad. Rage, PoD handled the job nicely imho anyways.

they should take thier ideas of free trade and world peace and stick them up their collective ass

they seem to forget that if the western world didnt secure fresh foods as cheaply as possible from foreign countries then no-one in the western world would be able to eat healthily and would become even more obese than they are and would place even more of a burden on their economies which would in turn cause economic collapse and fuck the whole world

Cold Play is the Kinda crap people slit their wrists to, its so damn depressing & boring. Don Davis & Juno Reactor made the movie ever more perfect! Playing Coldplay when Trinity got shot or when Neo got blinded would have been the biggest fopar in cinema history ever.

Coldplay sucks and I can proof it... using simple math...

1=bad, and if you add 0,1 to 1 then thats worse than 1. So:
1<+0,1<+0,1<+0,1....

And we all know that: coldplay=2000....so...
1+(0,1*19990)=2000
..So....Bad+(Worse*19990)=Coldplay....

So there you have proof that Coldplay sucks.

I think that Rage and P.O.D. did a good job, especially Rage, as anything they do rocks.

i don't have a problem at all with Coldplay as a band.. but to have their music in the matrix! that would have been terrible! The music in the matrix movies have been awesome and that has only been helped by an AMAZING score by Don Davis.

id like to have seen what john williams would have came up with for the matrix

seeing as he has done starwars,schindlers list,metal gear solid etc

i think Don Davis took some influences from John Williams.. especially for the Revolutions score.. i've also heard that they're close friends..

Neodammerung was sort of reminiscent of a Battle of the Fates-type choral epic.. they were also both sung in sanskrit.. although in the case of the matrix, that was because of the Wachowskis

Coldplay's OK with me, but the don't fit in The Matrix!

Coldplay's first album was great, but their second album was pants.

I have to say that I don't see how Coldplay's music would fit into the matrix. Perhaps radiohead's stuff though? I think it'd be really cool to have the burly brawl to the tune of ideoteque. Not sure that Thom Yorke's voice would fit in that well but you never know.

Radiohead are amazing, but i don't think that would have worked either!

good point, i like coldplay and radiohead but for the matrix movies ahh no I like all types of music but i really like hard music and im glad they pulled pod and rage and rob zombie and prodigy and alll the others for the soundtracks. and the techno music rocks!

yeah i thought the music was spot on.. it fitted the tone of the movies perfectly.. i don't even like techno and i thought it was great for the movies

Actually I thought the music sometimes didn't fit the action on screen. Sometimes it worked very well, it always worked perfectly in the first movie. But certain points in the sequels felt a bit off. The music at the sunrise in particular was just annoying.

i think don davis did a wonderful job composing the movie!
