If I understand correctly, in Reloaded Ramakandra goes to the Oracle for a means to save his daughter Sati. The Oracle sends him along to the Merovingian (her enemy) who then sells her source codes to the vengeful Merovingian, who tries to delete her. Then, after this apparent act of treachery on the part of Ramakandra, the Oracle takes Sati in and befriends her in Revolutions.

At first, this seeming inconsistancy bothered me until I remembered one thing...this is the Oracle we're talking about here! She not only knew this would probably be the outcome, she was probably counting on it, even if it was an outcome that she considered unpleasant (having to find a new "shell" and all.) In fact, where else could Ramakandra have gotten the Oracle's source code from except the from Oracle herself?

I think this plot twist was all a part of the Oracle's plan. I think it would really hack the Merovingian off if he realized that in attacking her, he'd played right into her hands!

Quote:

Oracle: I made a choice, and that choice cost me more than I wanted it to.

Morpheus: What choice?

Oracle: To help you to guide Neo. Now, since the real test for any choice is having to make the same choice again, knowing full well what it might cost - I guess I feel pretty good about that choice, 'cause here I am, at it again.

Her foreknowledge of the Merovingian's attack is also reflected in this statement:

Oracle: I'm the Oracle. I wish there was an easier way to get through this but there ain't. I'm sorry this had to happen.

In her words, it had to happen. Meaning that it might have been an unavoidable sacrifice on her part in order to keep things moving according to plan. I also understand that there is a run-in in Enter the Matrix between the Merovingian and the Oracle, and hopefully I will have that game soon.

Comments? Questions? Diatribes? Aaah, is there anything better than to post here and to drink something

Well in that case...RUN....no im kidding.

I think the whole situation is unique....she knew that it would happen so she neednt worry about anything. I think also that yes, merv would be so angry but maybe he knew that why he did it. knowing that maybe he knew that she knew that he knew the plan the whole time. crazy right?

Giving the codes to The Merovingian (via Ramakandra) was a choice she made and knew her shell would be deleted. The above statement highlights that she knows full well that later on she'll be "deleted", again, by Smith.

Making the same choice again.

But Smith didn't delete her. Not even her shell. Only the Merv did that and yeah I believe that she gave Rama Kanda those codes on purpose in order to save Sati.

The Oracle knew it was gonna happen, but she made the sacrifice. She needed Sati to fully enlighten Neo to his purpose.

Well..... here I am.

Fraid not. The oracle body-change thing was written in quickly to make up for the fact that the oringal actress died. Just like the Link character was written in as a new crew member replacing Dozer, because the guy who plays Tank was being a prick.

I'm afraid you don't even see the new oracle fighting the merovingian. After all, he only realises that she is still alive because they show up at Club Hell. (Though, as he says, it was hardly surprising)

Heres an interesting conversation from Enter the Matrix:

ORACLE: Two programs that I trusted sold the termination code of my original shell to the Merovingian.
GHOST: Why did they do that?
ORACLE: For love, and for the life of their child.
GHOST: You knew about it, and yet you let it happen?
ORACLE: I had to.
GHOST: Why?
ORACLE: Because the child is important. I can't tell you why, but I believe that one day the child will change both our world and your world forever.

Wow, thanks! That was the information from Enter The Matrix that I was looking for. Yes, Sati has an important role to play. A clue: she effects the sunrise in the Matrix. Will she perhaps make the sun shine in "our" world again?

This is a distinct possibility.
I was looking at the 'occupations' of Rama Khandra and Kamala

He was a Power Plant systems manager for recycling operations..Making new things from old things - renewal .. . This seems to have had an effect on Sati...I believe Cool

I wish I had the 'Enter the Matrix' scripts on those cut-scenes. I got & played the game when it came out, but have forgotten the details. Since the trilogy is out it's peeked my interest & have had the urge to play the game again; maybe I will soon. I have the saves that I hope will work; it so I can review all those cut-scenes.

Like probably most, I'm hoping that the movies are actually well constructed & really do gell all the things together 'properly.'

This Topic was 1st (unless forgot) view of 'kandra' guy as the seller of her stuff (Wink...I didn't know that. I guess you guys know what you are talking about on that? I know Merv. says to Seraph 'my little Judah' or so & also calling him 'the prodigal son has returned.' I was perplexing some on whether this meant Seraph helped against the Orc (oracle, unless you're in lotr) or that he was a helper of Merv once. Merv as a previous 'one' still seems in the cards to me. But that's why the movies are fun, makes you have to search for the 'answers.'

Is it said somewhere, ETM?, that Ramakandra is the 'culprit?' (I missed that if so.)

Travelling while podless I found a baby sentinal & put it in my fishtank. It had sunglasses on but now they're off. It's in the Power of BELIEF!

You can always see the details to the ETM cutscenes if you read a transcript.
