»What ever happened to Tank (as well as the actual actor) ?«

So in Reloaded we hear that Tank is killed somehow like Doser was, but how? He gets lightninged in M1 but is fine for the next hour of the movie.
That can't be his cause of death, so what is?

Also, what happened to the actual actor? Was he fired? Did he die? DId he not want to do another movie? I figure something must have happened if they got rid of his character and replaced him. Why was the character Tank replaced if they could have gotten the same actor to play the gang's operator?



By the way, Tank was awesome. (and he could actually express emotion)

I wondered the same: dead? returned to the Matrix (God forbid!)? Or what? The lack of explanation is a bit suspicious, though it could also be taken as meaning death is a "normal" state of affairs for Zion fighters, that it could happen to anyone, for no good reason. And it did happen to Trin.

good point... Tank was able to show emotion. You actually felt bad for him when you thought he was killed.

He wanted more money than they wanted to pay him. So out he went.

He couldn't have been returned to the matrix because he never came form there. He was born in the real world.

It would seem that Tank (real name Marcus Chong) was arrested after failed salary negotiations (he wanted $500,000) and is filing a lawsuit against Warner Bros and others. There is a site all about it boycottthematrix.com...

In Reloaded, either Kali or Zee says that Tank died on the Nebuchadnezzar.

"I lost two brothers on that ship" (something along those lines).

I guess he died awhile after Cypher shot him.

I always figured he died from complications from his wound. I mean, he was, after all, letting his big gaping wound in his chest just bleed everywhere.

I was wondering this, but I just assumed he dies from his wound or the Sentinals that got in the ship killed him. I never worries about it too much. I guess the Wachowskis had to rewrite a few parts, with actors dying or quitting. It was hard to believe they just came up with that thing with the Oracle finding new shells, I thought it was meant to be there all along. But about Tank, I think the guy who plays Link is a better actor anyway. Doesn't bother me a bit.

hey i was just wondering.. does anyone actually know what happened with the outcome of that Marcus Chong lawsuit.. i've never heard anything about it since, whether it was settled, thrown out, or whatever.. anyone hear anything?
