can someone explain to me how the Agents can possess the bodies of other humans living in the Matrix? And when they kill an Agent, the revert back to the human body. Whats stopping them from taking over Neo, or taking him over before he believed in himself?
And what would happen to the bodies of people Agents possess? Wouldn't their bodies in the Real World die? Because they just go hoping around the place constantly, and that would leave alot of people dead without cause. And we always see Agents possessing new bodies, but have not yet seen them leave a body. Would the person continue to live, and forget about it or drop dead? We never see the same Agent in 2 bodies (cept Smith of course), so they obviously have a restriction that they can only be in one body. If Agents are a code, how can they take over a human, which we are told are controlled by your own mind in the real world.

Agents usually take over the avatars(not their real bodies) of people who are alone or out of clear sight of other matrix inhabitants so that other people would not be suspicious. When Neo first meets Trinity they were in a club with many people around (Of course, they were doing it openly towards the end of the first film because they were desperate).
Neo was then bugged because they wanted to send many agents to Morpheus's location because they probably weren't sure who had the codes to Zion's mainframe (Cypher probably told them who had the codes some time later), thus wanting to catch them all. But the bug was removed and if they took over Neo only, most of them, including Morpheus, would probably escape.

Read the Matrix Comics. You see agents leaving bodies and the people they take over have no memory of what had happened.

Well, the avatars are code too. Take your computer for instance. You can control it, but people can also hack into it and control it as well.
