»Morpheus and Jedi mind tricks?«

On their way to see Mero, the fab three get on an elevator. Did anyone notice how Morpheus gives a slight nod to the potential riders and they stand their stupefied and let the door close letting the fabulous threesome alone to talk about matters of code?

It reminds me of Star Wars. Obi-Wan gives a slight wave of the hand and they get past the storm troopers on tattooine.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It just seems inconsistent with the abilities of the others (even Neo's). Whereas they usually bend the laws of the natural (super kung-fu, flying), morpheus succeeds in bending the supernatural (thought-control on the elevator).

Its 'the look', that 'we are badass killers and you dont want to be in this elevator' look. The man has presence, intimidation and style. I wouldnt say its a power, its just a testament to how certain they are of their place in the world.

It is possible to stare down tigers and such.

Morpheus is also a world famous terrorist psychopath, or so the papers and files in Neo's data trawl show.

it would be funny if some dude just noticed morpheus and said, ' hey you're that terrorist guy aren't you?'
or
'i saw you on tv, something about blowing stuff up'



but if he is that noticeable or even a household name/face then when people see him then agents would probably pop up

Interesting question never really thought about it, does seem abit weird the way he walks around an no one seems to care.

if a guy that looked like morpheus waved his head to tell me i couldnt get in the lift then i think i would do as im told

besides i think it would have ruined the film if someone smacked morpheus in the chops and said "im getting on this fucking lift you bald twat"

If three people who look serious and ready to kick some major ass got on an elevator in front of me and one of them shook his head to inform me I couldn't get on the elevator... I would try to find another elevator. Or at least a way out of the building.
