Ha! So when is this thing, anyway? The wifey's gonna be out of town for a week pretty soon, and I'm thinking that while the cat's away the mouse will PLAY! Very Happy

Right, looks like theres going to be a slight delay in the key send out so everyone hold tight. And don't worry, your requests are still being noted.

As we have a little downtime before the send out, anyones whos interested should try this

1. Sign up for a free station account over at

station.sony.com...

2. Access your account at
secure.station.sony.com...

3. Click ''Email Newsletters"

4. Tick 'The Matrix Online'

5. Confirm it

6. Make sure you put "station-mailer*at*sony-online.com" out of any spam filters on ya email.

7. Wait for an email containing 5 buddy keys.

Thats how theyre getting sent out, should be to anyone whos signed up so it might be a way to get a guanteed key, as well as 4 others to give out.

CloudWolf, I actually tried a week or so ago to re-sign into my old account. I couldn't remember my password, so I tried my email address and clicked on the link to have the password sent to me. A message appeared saying that it was sent. Well, that was about two weeks ago and I still haven't received the password. I'm wondering if I should just try it again, or what. My junk mail (Hotmail) is set up so that anyone who's not in my Address Book gets sent to my junk mail folder. And believe me, I was checking both my inbox AND my junk mail every day for a while. Oh well. Maybe I'll have to set up a new account or something.

Naw, this was an SOE account. I was still with the game when they transferred to Sony, and I got a Station Pass and everything. Maybe I'll just try it again in the next couple days and see what happens.

So hey, you still haven't said when the 14-day trial starts. Has it started already? Is there a small window of opportunity for people to try it out, or is it indefinite? I've never done one of these buddy key thingies before, so I'm not sure how it works.

We're currently waiting for the keys to get sent out (unfortunately there was a slight error with some sort of web template so they got delayed).

Basically it works like this; anyone whos signed up for the newsletter gets sent 5 keys when the big send out happens (what we're waiting on) then they can distribute them to whoever they want for a 14 day trial. These keys are normally valid for a month or two after the initial send out.

I'm not sure if you need to a subscriber to get the newletter when its sent, thats why the 'sign yourself up for keys' idea might not work, however, if it does i've got two free accounts set up for an extra 10 keys, hehe ^^

Sounds good. Looks like the wife will be out of town starting on the 25th, and she'll be gone for five days. So if all goes well, I'll be playing every weeknight that week hassle-free (us married guys can't play to our hearts' content like the single guys without getting a wee bit of grief about it). We're also still trying to set up our home network, so our Internet is not fully up and running yet.

CloudWolf, if I'm too late for the newsletter (I just now signed up for a Station account--couldn't access the old one), do I need to get a buddy key from you? Just trying to figure out what the next step is.

Well not only that, but I haven't gotten ANYTHING from SOE since I set up the Station Pass. Not even an email welcoming me or anything. And what's really weird is that I tried earlier to access my old Station Pass account, and even when a message popped up saying they'd send my old user name to my email address (I forgot exactly what my user name and password were), I didn't get anything. And I don't block anybody from my email, either. My Junk filter is set up to put any emails from sources that aren't in my contacts list to the Junk folder. But I've been looking for emails from SOE every frickin' day now. Nada.

I guess better late than never, right? How will you be able to get a key to me? Do you need my email address or Station Pass ID or something?

I've only got two email addresses that I've ever used in my entire life, and I currently check both of them frequently. Nothing. Nada. Zippo. Squat. Zilch. Zero.
