The sentinnels are connected to the MAtrix, and the real life senses tehy pick up from teh real world through radar are digitally recreated inside theri mind using the programmes of the matrix. Thus when a Sentinnel senses a human being across theri path, the residual self image of that human being inside the matrix is digitally recreated inside the machines mind.

We have to understand that machines dont see and feel things like we humans. Tehy send out radars, and decode them. So when the macines pick up Neo, his residual self image is recreated inside the sentinnel memory system with the MAtrix Programmes. And since Neo's residual self image is teh Anomaly, it has the power to crash the sentinnel from within. ITs juslt like the SCADA systems, where a software controlls the operation of hardware.

Neo has a connection to the Matrix. This may be the anomaly that the Architect has been looking for. For, if he has both genetic and programming code, his powers would extend into both the virtual and real world. Hybridization may be the Nirvana that the Architect is looking for.

Those people who are plugged into the Matrix would receive Neo's special code as a system upgrade after he is incorporated into the Source. Thus, they could be completely subsumed into the machine as one. Any pretense of an artificial world construct would become useless, and man and machine could evolve together.
