»Let's Talk Revolutions Trailer!«

As you might have already seen, the official Revolutions trailer has been released! No doubt this will add a whirlwind of questions to be pondered until November.

I'm just going to go through some interesting scenes and observations throughout the trailer.

Of course right at the beginning, the trailer begins with the Oracle (new one) saying "Everything that has a beginning has an end" and it shows Neo waking up. I personally believe this really signifies that Neo is likely going to die some way or another (likely to save everyone). He's waking up from being in the Matrix as its very green. He's wearing the same clothes as he was when he first visited the Oracle, not his new coat threads. Interesting...

The next scene shows Bane in the operators chair from behind. This is definitely Bane...and we all know what kind of power the operator yields...

Now later on it shows Agent Smith really having a good laugh...we saw this before in an earlier trailer, but one thing which is for certain is that Smith here is still in the Matrix. I originally thought perhaps this scene was when Smith breaks out of the Matrix, but it appears he's in a kitchen. I'll have to watch the original Matrix again to see if the Oracle had orange cabinets...

In the next scenes of quick succession, we do see Bane waking up. We know he wakes up already since he's in the operators chair, but its worth mentioning. Additionally we see Persephone in a hot red get up...very sexy =)

The next scene shows some new machines I recognize but we haven't scene in any of the movies yet. I believe I recognize them from the Animatrix. If not then I'm one of those doods who knows this world isn't real and I'm getting ready to hop out you suckas! Hehehe...

One of the next scenes shows this HUGE machine crawling across the landscape. This thing is absolutely humongous. It looks like there could be three of them as well. There doesn't seem to be any swarms of sentinels around them, so they're either good machines or machines that are so powerful they need not the protection offered by the sentinels.

Next, the Oracle says during the famous shot in the rain of Neo vs. Smith, "You are all that stands in his way, if you cannot stop him tonight then I'd fear that tomorrow may never come". So what does this mean? This part is absolutely critical. Remember, the Oracle is a program, she's been with the Matrix time and time again as One's keep going by. She herself fears that tomorrow might not come. She doesn't say "for you", but essentially includes herself in that calculation. Now what is Neo stopping Smith from doing? Things certainly have made a turn here, as previously Smith was stopping Neo from becoming the One (or trying to). Have the roles reversed?

Additionally, that street note shows endless amounts of Smiths. I can only imagine that Smith has taken over the entire matrix. There is no traffic and there are thousands of Smiths standing right in the open. Obviously people seeing this would raise quite a few doubts about the world they live in. All I can assume is that Smith has taken over everyone.

Next we see two guys wrestling it out with a Gaus gun in someones hands. This is Bane and Neo. You can see clearly the top of Banes face in the first few frames and you can tell its Neo fighting him (same shirt, boots, pants, hair, figure, etc).

Cut past a couple quick battle scenes with Morpheus, Trinity and Seraph and you'll see some huge solidified object crashing through something. This something looks like the gates of Zion. They're completely wiped out, the machines have reached and breached the gates, no problem. The front of the object appears to have a turret, is it a ship? Looks like its made of stone, not metal.

Next we see Seraph getting surrounded by guns...he's especially focused on a long hair individual. Now I haven't actually seen the Trainman...does this guy look the same?

Next we see those HUGE machines slowly making their way across the landscape again...WOW.

Then we see Trinity pulling her gun away and pointing it right at the temple of the Merovingian. Now Seraph appears to be in the background there.

Now theres a couple of battle scenes with the Mechs of Zion walking about, and after that for a quick second we see Trinity and Neo in a ship...but Neo is blindfolded...and a sentinel appears to crash right into Neo as he sits there in the ship. Weird.

Later, we see a ship getting up close and personal with the breeding areas of the real world...I can only imagine what a wide shot of this area is going to be.

Now the final scene shows Neo who has apparently been just busted through a couple walls and get backs up to meet Smith flying at him. Yes, Smith flying. The room Neo is in appears to be similar to the room Neo first met Seraph in.

Well, thats about it. Absolutely fantastic trailer! Can't wait to read all of your guys observations!

I think Joel Silver said that most of the third movie would be about the war between man and machine and mostly take place on the scorched earth.

Well, most of the trailer is from within the matrix. There is something fishy here.

Most of the trailers for Star Wars ep. 2 were about love. And most of the final movie was about clones and black power.

The fact that the movie is predominantly about man vs. machine doesn't mean the movie will predominantly take place in the real world (though that'll probably be the case). The battles in the Matrix such as Neo vs. Smith can represent the war in the real world, or can be a necessary battle in the war (in Zion).

the first trailer of revolutions i saw the part where trinity is aiming at the french guy (spelling out his name is too taxing) she says "give us neo or we all die..." now we all know neo was in some kind of a coma at the end of reloaded and from this line we can gather the french guy has kidnapped neo maybe the rebels e.g. morpheus thought since he is the one he could gain concousness through the matrix explaining his waking up in the matrix also one of you mentioned neo clothes being the ones from the first movie when i was on another website someone had a theory that the last scene in the first matrix actually took place at the end of the third film the theory was based on that the date of the call between cypher and trinity appeared to be 19 months earlier than the one at the end.

Good analysis, but the one at tis site is much more comprehensive and informative. Also, it has pictures!

oh man, after seeing those trailers, i cant wait....... i just have a question, for all those who have seen the Control trailer, what the fuck is that big thing that neo is talking to in the beginning? It is like the source of the machines or something? It has to be something special, because why else would he be blindfolded?

He looks wounded and is maybe blind. Wow, what a powerful scene:
The machine god rises: "Speak"
Neo (blind): "The program Smith is growing beyond your control."

When neo is blindfolded and is talking to the huge machine telling him Smith is out of control for the machines, what is the face of on the machine? It looks like a babies face or something. Maybe even slightly like Buddha. Check it out and let me know what you think.

It may be the oracle since the actress died and they had to bring her back in a different form for the the third movie.

They got a new actress for the 3rd movie, you see her in one of the trailers, and it was a man's voice.
