"the power of One extends beyond this whole world. it reaches here back to all the way where it came from: The Source
if you excep the premise that everything is energy, then it follows that all matter, all thought is the same; the same source. the universe. we are the one

Yup exactly...we can all become gods by freeing our minds.

If we are all one, that means that love is the only answer. Loving all, is loving yourself too, because the deep source within us is the same.

is it possible that love is the key to freedom, the old saying is that "love can/will set you free" (depending on how you say it.)

Have you ever noticed how much more alert you are when you like someone, or you are starting to fall in love with someone, or you are in lve with someone. while i do not retrack my previous comment, i have often believed that insane people are the most sanist people around. Could it be that there is not much difference between the brain synapsis of an insane person and one that is in love. is it possible to see things in different light, when you are in love, can the truth be seen. thing to think about.

Falling in love is a trick of the mind in order to get you to spread your genes.

But real love, which according to me means respect, acceptence, and empathy does indeed set you free.

Real love starts with loving yourself. You need to get to know yourself including your weaknesses. After this process you can control your own weaknesses better (more freedom) and you will accept certain weaknesses from other people too (even more freedom).

As soon as you fully understand that self-love, self-respect and self-acceptence can only be established by loving, respecting and accepting others, then you will experience true freedom!

Jealousy, materialism, power, fear and sexual energy will still exist inside of you, but you will be able to convert them into love, respect and acceptence. You are no longer a slave of the mechanisms of your body! You can step aside of them; now ain't that true freedom?

How do you arrive at these conclusions and using what information?

Yes. It is interesting. That's why I asked how he arrived at this (and the other) conclusions because another way to look at it is..."spreading your genes is a trick of biology to get you to experience love. So why look at it one way as opposed to another?

I already stated that according to me love is...

This means that the things I stated are not facts but my findings based on my personal experience.

Falling in love is indeed a trick of the mind; an evolutionary trick.
Our whole physical system is based on survival and spreading our genes.

Now, most women find men who instantly want to have sex disgusting (and admit it, we DO want to have sex without even having to know her name). So, while evolution is also about adjusting, the brain makes us fall in love! A man who has just fallen in love usually doesn't care about having sex; the only thing he cares about is winning the woman's heart. This increases our chance of mating/pairing.

Falling in love is not a bad thing; you just have to make sure it doesn't enslave you like the other joys of life: food, drugs and sex. Use them, but do not abuse them!

Oh. Well that's fine, too. I was just wondering if there was a common perspective on this out there that I could add to my research.

But I will add something. I wouldn't know for sure that the intent of Love is for spreading seed. Heck, like you sed, we don't even have to know each other's names so Love doesn't seem necessary for uh.. you know. But if you say that it serves the purpose of maintaining a proper social environment in which the "seed" to grow and "thrive", then I would say that is closer to the point. And the point may be that biological and physical needs are not the whole picture when it comes to humanity, is it?

Yes you are right.

That's what I meant with evolution being about adjustment!

In the social enviroment that we are in right now 'falling in love' works better than slamming their heads and dragging them to your cave Whitelaugh

Imho, only death can bring you a real freedom, all the rest is an illusion of your senses, a construct in your mind. Love is the reason why we do things, it does not mean that it makes you free (quite the contrary), it just brings a fantastic energy for your motivation.
