It's the same key that the keymaker gives to Neo in Reloaded (Cane and Abel stole it off Niobe in the game).

Thats right. The Keymaker asked Niobe to give it to Neo. But Cain and Abel stole it. So the Keymaker made another one and gave it to Neo in the movie.

But what happened to the first key that was stolen from Niobe?

I think if you are a true matrix fan you should beat this game because it has a lot of important info. Like in reloaded in the burly brawl scene Niobe catches Morpheus on the wind sheild of a car, but where did she come from? The game will connect everything that happens to Niobe and ghost in the movie to the game and it will explain a few confusing things. But really you don't NEED to know what happens in this game, it is just a parallel story to help you understand the smaller things.

One of the news stories I read recently;

It stated that after the release of Revolutions on DVD, they are planning a box set - which (as mith would say) is inevitable. They did not know at that time if this would include the Animatrix.

It added that the Wachowskis's were dissapointed by the DVD for Reloaded and were considering remastering the film for the box set

Best of all, they were looking at the possibility of adding the live action scenes from Enter the Matrix to make it more complete.

Like I said, it was a news article so take with a pinch of salt until we get an official word.
