OK, at the end of Revolutions, we see a black cat (I'm guessing it might have something to do with the whole deja vu thing...) then the code goes all over, the cat has "re-wound" and we see Sati lying on the ground.

1) What happened with the code?
2) Why was Sati laying there?
3) I can't remember if Seraph was there or not (cut me some slack, I'm tired...) but if he was, where did he come from?

Also, if the matrix is destroyed, what happens to the architect, the Oracle, Sati and Seraph? And the other agents for that matter (if they all weren't turned into Smiths).

Good question Elizabeth. First let me tell you what happened and then we'll interpret it. As you said, the deja vu cat appears next to Sati who has woken up. She walks to the park (not sure of name....its in New York). The Oracle is sitting on the bench. Seraph is nearby too. Then the Architect comes. He has a little chat with the Oracle and then leaves.

You can guess that this is not the real world obviously. It is the Matrix. Seraph, Sati and Oracle were all possessed by Smith but are now restored. Smith is gone. My guess is that at the end, when Neo died, his code was reinserted into the Source thereby reloading the Matrix. The old matrix was crapped up cause of Smith so this one is good. The whole deja vu cat thing supports my theory. The programs are there. Not the humans yet. I made a analogy to this and your computer system. When you turn the computer on, not all programs start running immediately. At first there are only some programs there to make sure that the system is running okay before you can start using the computer. Similarly Oracle, Seraph and Sati were there to make sure everything is fine before the humans are sent in. This is the transcript between Oracle and Architect:

Oracle: Well, now, ain't this a surprise.
Architect: You've played a very dangerous game.
Oracle: Change always is.
Architect: Just how long do you think this peace is going to last?
Oracle: As long as it can.
{Architect starts walking away}
Oracle: What about the others?
Architect: What others?
Oracle: The ones that want out.
Architect: Obviously, they will be freed.
Oracle: I have your word?
Architect: What do you think I am? Human?

This proves several things that we thought we knew before. The Oracle has played things differently this time and its cause of her the peace has been achieved. Also, the `others' refers to the humans who would want to be free from the Matrix and go to the real world. As Architect says- they will be released. Then Sati makes a sunrise for neo. Oracle says that he might return which indicates that the One program or the anomaly will definitely return. Sati had no Purpose before. Out of pity, the machines have given her one- to control sunrise and sunset. Its a truce of sorts between man and machine. Man (Neo) rid the machines of the menace Simth. machines will now have a peace with Zion and free the ones who want to be freed.

So ther will continue to be a matrix, but, sopposedly a "good" or "nice" one? And if the matrix isgoing to be destroyed, what will happen to Sati, the oracle and Seraph? Why did Serpah, Sati and theoracle go back to thier regular selves, but the people who were turned into Smiths and other programs that were turned into Smiths weren't? If there are no people in the "new" matrix that you are talking about, what is going on with the people who are still plugged in? Are they just sitting in some boguus equilibrium? Help me out here!

No No No. The Matrix will continue. This is the 7th version. The humans are alive and will be plugged into the Matrix. Oracle, Seraph and Sati are just there to see whether the system is running fine before they send the humans in. The Smith program was destroyed. All the people who were possessed by Smith are now back to normal. Even the programs like Oracle, Seraph and Sati. Yes this is gonna be essentially a `good' matrix.

the anomaly

the matrix was rebooted and like what happens when an agent leaves a human that he once controlled...the humans are left wondering how they all got there in the first place

after smith is destoyed we see the oracle lying in the pool of water where the smith/oracle programme was...presumably because sati and seraph were also assimilated by smith then they were left in the place where their smith was standing when they were all destroyed

Why don't they just get rid of the matrix?

Hee Hee, I've never cried so hard in a movie in my life. It felt like someone really close to me died, and it was so sudden. (this is when Trinity dies, of course, so unexpected) I wasn't able to pay much attention after that, nothing was good in the world anymore.... Crying or Very sad
