Can agents also get out of the Matrix?

Yeah, yeah. I KNOW. I thought it was impossible too, especially with Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions with Smith and everything. But when I was re-reading the script, I saw something that caught my eye, and made me wonder: Can all agents, not just agent smith, go out of the Matrix?

Quote:

Neo: What are they doing to him.
Tank: Breaking into his mind. It's like hacking into a computer, all it takes is time.
Neo: How much time?
Tank: Depends on the mind. Eventually it will crack and his alpha patterns will change from this to this. When it does, Morpheus will tell them anything they want to know.
Neo: Well what do they want.
Tank: The leader of every ship is given codes to Zion's mainframe computer. If an agent got the codes and got into Zion's mainframe, they could destroy us. We can't let that happen.

Notice that it doesn't say agent smith, it says AGENT. Plural. As in Agent Johnson, Brown, and Jackson (I think...?).

So maybe, because it is still a computer simulation, the agents can travel there. Maybe that's why Smith's take-over-go-into-the-real-world-thing was so extraordinary in Reloaded. Hmmm....

The answer is no. Agents can't go inside Zion....or the real world. They can go inside Zion's mainframe though, because it is a computer.

The only reason Smith is able to go inside Zion (inside a real human body) is because he developed skills no other agent has, like replicating himself.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

I didn't notice it at first but if you look closely in M2 when the Neb is entering Zion you see a group of people reclining in chairs (this scene happens pretty fast) then it cuts to a white room with all types of computers and stuff of that nature. Well stop and ask yourself this.

If they have rooms and tech like this why do the hovercrafts look so crappy?

Now think back to M1 and Enter The Matrix what does white represet.... The Construct

So if you can use a construct like program to operate security systems and doors. Why not use it. This is Zions Mainframe.

However it has one fundamental flaw...If the machines were ever to get the "password" to the system then they could screw around with it as if it were the matrix thus killing all those inside and giving them access to the rest of the security systems of Zion.

I hope this answers your question

It just pisses me off that they left this as somewhat of plot hole

That isn't a plot hole. Everything you wrote was absolutely right, failrly obvious and made perfect sense. What do you think is wrong with it exactly?

Its not exactly a movie plot hole but it is one that is more or less keeping me up at night. I was going to call it a plot divit instead of a hole but I got rushed off the computer.

If you have to interface with a construct type program to operate the zion defenses, door ect... What happens when there are no more people with holes to do that with.

Also another slight problem I am having is if you can control outer defenses from inside of a construct program then why not fly hovercrafts from there as well... It seems to me it would be much easier to download an expert flight program and be able to fly that thing without any limitations.... since in the construct you could move faster and more precisely also you could get a third person view of the ship thus preventing that nasty little bump we saw in M3 also you wouldn't exactly need a navagator since your brain functions much faster than your eyes you would almost insticively know where what was as soon as the ships sensors know its there.... but thats just my view maybe it would have been a little much to add to the movie.
