»Why is Zion more technologically advanced than Matrix?«

Following questions, I assume that the matrix is virtual world and zion is the real world.

I was watching Matrix I and II again and was thinking .. why is Zion, so called real world more technologically advanced than the world of Matrix?

Is this explained anywhere in the first movie?

If Zion is keep getting destroyed repeatly, then how can people in Zion were able to build such techologically advanced structures (buildings in the engineering level, computer systems, hubber crafts, etc..)? I mean if our minds can only project 20th centry technology and society in virtual world, how can we make something that is more advance than what we can imagin in real life?

Perhaps Zion is a part of THE MATRIX or a MATRIX within a MATRIX I guess we will find out the answer to that one after we've seen REVOLUTIONS....CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I imagine that a lot of it could be pirated technology from the machine world, or even salvaged from the ruins of the old human cities, relics fom the machine vs. human war, or just leftover from when humanity had created AI.

My suggestions

1) Zion is virtual
2) Zion is rebooted each XXX years
3) After a reboot, the Matrix starts approx 1890 and Zion with ruins and leftovers from the "human history"
