:tripleconfused:ok, questions: 1. what is the significance with the eyes? why did the merog(you know how to spell it) want the oracle's eyes? why were neo's eyes burnt at the end? 2. what's the significance of the "last exile"? they even gave her a specific title. does anyone know enough about philosophy to know any significance to this title? 3. what's the deal with the train driver? i think he signifies that guy in greek mythology that sails people down to hell. any thoughts? i have a million more questions and things to think about (oracle = mother earth, good cannot exist without evil to compare it to, they are relative terms, therefore neo couldn't exist without smith and vice versa, etc.) but i'll get to those tomorrow. I have a couple of opinions, I dont know if I am right but maybe if they are thrown into the pot they can help lead to better ones.

The significance of the eyes was really a big deal in the beginning and maybe it was meant as enlightenment or her ability to see the future. Neo also had this gift as the oracle stated in the second film.
The Merovingian wanting the eyes could have been a way to say I know you will never get them so I dont have to release Neo. Or maybe it is something he needs to be all powerful in the matrix. The merovingian are a line of kings descendant(supposedly) from Jesus and Mary Magdalane, that are said to still control the world today(i.e. The illuminati, freemasons, knights of templar) Maybe there isnt one god but 2 entities that govern everything. Like good and evil. and there is really no choice for anyone at all, just a series of events that are orchestrated by the fluctuations between the two entities. The only way that you could really have any choice or control is if you knew what was going to happen. If you could get the eyes of the Oracle(fortuneteller) you could be more powerful than them.

The last exile was probably meant to say that she was the last program that was assimilated by agent smith. But if she was smuggled out of the matrix in the beginn ing of the revolutions, whay was she in the matrix at the oracle's appartment. Was the apartment even in the matrix? maybe the girl was just the last person to be smuggled out. Maybe she was destroyed when Agent smith copied himself over her, only to return again, as Neo reincarnate.
