My apologies if someone else has posted this 'theory'. Hopefully we can all agree that the matrix draws certain parallels from religion (specificly catholisism the only religion that believes in the holy trinity). i myself am agnostic but have studied the worlds major religions (christianity, buddhism, hinduism, islam, judaism) AKA the big 5. i have also read many opinions on neos death/life/reincarnation but i think they are all wrong. for starters catholisism does not believe in reincarnation. Neo's character is based very much off jesus christ. if you would like me to explain that further you need only ask. now if neo is jesus we can conclude that he did in fact die (cross, crucifix, died so that others may live, etc). Jesus, however, rose from the dead. i think we can expect to see the same of neo. he will 'rise' from the dead. he will not be reincarnated, he will actually rise from the dead. read a little of the bible, the parallels are blatent.

Neo already died in the first matrix and then was resurrected by the love of Trinity. He for a brief time became the ONE. However he soon was split into two when he entered into Agent Smith and "destroyed" him. With the connection of love (which remember is only a word) Trinity completed the...well trinity.
