My thoughts on the trilogy

Let me start by saying that i did like the movies and the story, in my opinion the movie didnt suck. Well is zion another matrix? here i go...

Neo seems to me like he is a program. Why? Well lets see how we can tell in the movies who is a program, programs have a purpose that is connected to the matrix program, for example like the oracle says there are programs to govern everything like the sky, birds etc... Even smith says in the thirth movie things like, it is purpose that drives us, purpose that creates us, it is because of you we are here mister anderson. Meaning that he is only there because he wants to destroy neo. It seems to me that neos only purpose is to reboot the system but because now he feels love he has changed his purpose, just like the oracle has changed her purpose and just like smith has. The programs call him the anomolie. All the programs have other names like this. The oracle, the architect, agent programs... Neo acts towards the end of the trilogy like a program, while smith starts to act more like a human. Maby the thing that neo found out in the end is that he is nothing more than a program from the machine world. But then you would say how come we can see him in the real world? Did we not see smith in the real world? Another thing, when programs need upgrades or need to be deleted they can chose to return to the source or stay in the matrix as exiles. Neo returns to the source just like programs would. To me it is obvious now that zion is as real as can be. Neo is the one, The program that is born inside a human being. Neo is the newly born program that had to find its purpose and its reason for existing. The oracle gave it direction as the mother of the program. Now about how the anomolie end the war: I think the oracle came up with another concept to give the programs, love. You can see in the thirth movie at the trainstation that the programs that are satis parents talk albout loving their child, i would have to watch it again to make sure im right but i think the oracle gave this. So neo is different from the other anomolies because he can feel love. The others chose to reboot the system from the architects room cause they had sympathy for the human race. Neo had love for trinity, that is what made this sixt anomolie the one that ended the war. And finaly is neo death? Imagine this, if neo loved trinity so much that he was willing to sacrefice milions of people for her why would he go to the source if he knew he had to kill smith and in the process would die? Why would he fly with trinity to the source knowing she had to be left behind anlone? He would not have done that in my opinion. Wel let me know what you guys think.

Revolutions lacked the imagination of the first Matrix

The way Revolutions went it seemed pretty clear that Zion and the Machine City were actually in the "real" world. That Neo could perform superhuman feats in the "real" world, and that the program Smith made it to the "real" world are not explained. In my opinion, the movie slipped from science fiction to fantasy. Not that there's anything wrong with fantasy; it's just that they were doing a pretty good job up to that point in making the science fiction really trippy. When Neo became a superman in the "real" world it went from trippy to disappointing. There was one other thing that I never could buy into, and that was the idea that using humans to generate electricity is actually more efficient than, say, nuclear energy? Or hydroelectric? I thnk it would take far more energy to sustain all those pod people than the energy they would generate. Nevertheless, the first movie was excellent. The second wasn't quite as good, but they left the door open for what could have been a really good conclusion; i.e. Zion as another part of the Matrix. This would, of course, explain Neo's superhuman abilities in the "real" world as well as the program Smith's presence there. It would also leave the door open to the possibility that Neo was also just a program. For that matter, the machine city could have also been part of the Matrix, along with the war with the machines and all the pod people batteries. Perhaps the REAL real world of the future consists of millions of humans who have voluntarily chosen comatose participation in an all-encompassing matrix over a dreary existence in a post nuclear holocaust world. Machines will serve to maintain us in our pods and keep the whole process going indefinitely. It's a natural progression from the interactive television and video games of today.

everything is left widely open. just think about it. the whole thing could be a dream, of thomas a anderson (remember the name of the book in M1). it could even be a "test run" of the "matrix program" that thomas a anderson has been working on for a while (remember he works for metacortechs which is a top software company)

but it's been mentioned in this thread earlier, the whole thing turned out to be "fantasy". you can believe what evet you'd like to.
