First he's in a coma, then we see him in limbo, trin and morp successfully negotiate his freedom, trin takes a ride to limbo to get him, Neo is brought back to the matrix, he then asks to see the oracle, and now he's in seen being jacked out from the chair...

I love this movie but man I just don't get this part. Notagain

I think that while Neo was in his comma he was seperated from his body and therefore had to be reconnected. So, while Trin went back to the train station, the crew aboard the ship put Neo's body in a chair and connected him and waited for the Neo's signal to be read. Also, what I find interesting, is that Neo didn't read as himself in the Matrix, but he read differently. Perhaps this is why, when Morpheus asked that the operator search for Neo in the Matrix, that they could not see Neo because he was unrecognizable. Sort of like a searching for a file that has changed it's name. Searching for Neo.exe while it has been renamed to Enlightened.exe wouldn't get you anywhere.

This is something that I denounce: The lack of building up tension. Suddenly the world is Smith. Suddenly Neo is back on the ship. Suddenly Trinity dies.

Dramatically, maybe. But logically Smith's infinite replication was not unexpected and in fact had begun in Reloaded. Trinity's death, in retrospect, was necessary as a final step for Neo to cast away the carnal self, in preparation for his transformation to another state of being -- within the "mainframe" or the Source (I haven't figured out what they mean). Beyond the New Age bs, it just means now that Neo has no reason for sex, he can hang out with the programs and make them treat humans nicely. Very Happy

(But I admit I'm biased by my reading of that Leaked Script -- I was prepared for deaths, lots of them.)

Searching the matrix for Neo yielding nothing because Neo wasn't in the matrix. He was in the train station, which is separate. Although I found it ridiculous that they were able to search the entire matrix in a minute or so, given that Cypher said there's way too much information to use the image translators.

I was bit disappointed that Neo didn't come up with a way to escape, and that why he had no power in the station wasn't really explained; obviously Neo expected to have them, so he must have not been able to tell the difference between it and the matrix.

after he gets out of the trainstation, when he's sitting in the car next to Morpheus (or Trinity, i can't remember) Link says that he can't see him in the code.

Also true. They wouldn't have found him either way. They were looking for the wrong thing in the wrong place.
