I was wondering. Maybe I'm just a moron. In the animatrix film 'Kid's story' how did the kid know about the matrix? He was in class sketching the words "Neo" and "Save me". If he was never exposed to the real world how would he even know about Neo and Trinity and the matrix?

The same way Neo knew about Morpheus (in the first movie).
