»The Oracle's prophecy: Neo must die.«

In the first movie the Oracle tells Neo that he is going to have to make a choice. "In one hand is Morpheus' life, the other your own... One of you is going to die - who, is up to you." [One of you is GOING to die] Is it possible that by saving Morpheus from the agents Neo has already set in motion his own death?

That prophecy was fulfilled in the first movie when Smith kills Neo as he enters the door where the phone is ringing... Neo dies, but comes back to life (with Trinities help)...thus fulfilling that prophecy and also the one where the oracle tells him that he will become the One "...maybe in your next life"

Mayan has a point there, he DID die, like when the Architect says "She is going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it" well, he was right she did Die, but Neo brought her back by massageing her heart.
And Yes Neo DID Die, he got shot in the hall way - his heart stopped beating, the monitors say he dies, The oracle says "Sorry kid you have the gift, but your waiting for something your next life maybe"
Please, before you make theories make sure what you say is logical - otherise it will be laughed at and dismissed.

but was he brain dead?
if not then is he truely dead...........if your heart stops working,it doesnt mean your dead....it just means that one of your organs have stopped

Remember what Morpheus tells Neo:

So, she only told Neo that one of them was going to die, because that was what Neo needed to hear. Maybe she told him that because unless Neo did something, Morpheus was in fact going to die.

I prophesize that everyone is GOING to die eventually.

the Oracle's death prophecy was fulfilled in the first movie. To ask "but was he really brain dead?" is to split hairs.

Sorry guys, but I don't think the prophecy has been fulfilled yet. Deus Ex has a point. The Oracle did tell Neo he would die and die he must if Morpheus remains alive. So one of them is going to die in M3, which one will be up to Neo.
