»kind of a stupid thought«

you ever wonder what your real self would look like if in the matrix you were a huge fat @ss ? because there is only so much room in those pods. So if your only fat in the matrix and then you get freed from the matrix , and then the next time you jack in will you digitial self still be fat?

It is your residual self image...I am sure we all have an idea of what we look like in our heads...and it has to be a little better than what we look like normally...unless you have just horrible self-esteem...anyway...when you jack in, it picks up the way you think about yourself and designs the image based on that...So...if you are 300 lbs and think you are 220...you will be 220 when you jack in to the Matrix.

what i meant is this

1.you are in the matrix and are say 400 pounds

2.you are freed from the matrix (obviously you would not be 400 pounds in the real world)

3.Upon being freed you see that you are only say 160 pounds

4.if you now jack back into the matrix what will your residual self image be now Skinny McGee or Fat Joe?

you would be fat, but quickly lose weight each time you jacked-in.

You're right, wacky thoughts imagine someone getting really fat and not fitting in the pod anymore, or the pod not taking the weight and breaking off...
